In the first hour of Stubbsy's live lunchtime show this Monday, he is joined in the studio with Hopwood DePree, the driving force behind the restoration of ancestral home and Middleton's historic hidden gem, Hopwood Hall.

With him is Pam Taylor, one of a dedicated team of volunteers, who together are striving to bring the grade II listed hall and gardens back to its former glory as a community hub.

In November 2024, Rochdale Borough Council controversially locked Hopwood and his team out of the hall and have since announced their own plans.

IN NEED OF STORAGE SPACE: With Rochdale Council unexpectedly locking us out Hopwood Hall, we are in need of storage space for items we'll use for our community Christmas events (dishes, platters, decorations, etc). It's nothing of major value but takes up about 10 foot by 10 foot and is important for events in the future. We are very hopeful we will be able to get back into the Hall again soon but it may take some time whist our lawyers get it sorted out with the Council. If anyone is able to help or has suggestions please let us know. Thank you

Very concerning...

With all the severe winter weather we are putting out another plea to Rochdale Borough Council to make sure someone is watching over Hopwood Hall since they locked us out. We've had no response about the pipes freezing. Also who is emptying the buckets??
