We’ve been very happily working on designs for special summertime elopements and weddings, and traveling to some wonderful places, whilst very much enjoying the early morning and late evening light.

This arrangement was for destined for A & A’s ceremony, where it was nestled on a windowsill at .

Flowers by windows/ on windowsills just seems to connect and bridge indoors and outdoors so wonderfully, where they can be bathed in natural light and have the backdrop and view of both spaces 🥰

A long and low arrangement on the bridal party table. Airy enough to peer through and see all the warmth and friendship of the room in front of you; full enough to coyly hide behind during the best person's speech.

We're gearing up for another weekend of beautiful celebrations 💍✨

Flowers have been harvested, conditioned and divided, vessels are looked out and prepared, ribbons are caressed; smoothed out awaiting their time to shine. Soon all these things will come together, but for now we pause, check over the details and get ready 🙌🏼

A moment for the humble Dog Rose 🤍

We've had a productive afternoon in the garden today. Lots of things have popped up of late: seedlings we've planted and also lots of things we haven't. It can be frustrating sometimes when the nettles, brambles and giant hogweed seem to be overpowering everything else. But sometimes it is lovely native species that pop up unexpectedly - like a dog rose. A gift.

Our strategy at the moment is to focus on one area at a time. Little by little, bed by bed. We'll get there... or we won't and that's also ok. The insects will love the nettles and the brambles will give us fruit. Some battles aren't worth waging as much as others.

At least it's a good year for roses.. and tomatoes. We'll have those!

Last week was British Flowers Week 💐

It was a fairly busy one for us - we flowered a private event, 3 lovely weddings and finished off with a gentle afternoon of corsage making using flowers from our flower farm in Granton yesterday. June is such a bountiful time and it's a pleasure to be kept immersed in all the beauty, scent and floral characters the season has to offer.

Pictured are J's bridesmaid's bouquets from Saturday, just after they'd been finished off with beautiful ribbons from . The sun was beaming into the Conservatory, where we also created a frothy, flowery arch as a backdrop for J & C's nuptials. It was a special day with special flowers from , , , , and others.

All the small precious things, carefully considered, admired and arranged together for their flowery moment. We love making corsages! If you’d like to make one too, we are hosting a charity workshop at the garden this Sunday 2-4pm to celebrate British Flowers Week and our love for locally grown flowers. We’ll be showing you how to craft your own lapel arrangement/ corsage with flowers from the garden, tools will be provided.

This will be a drop in session at Granton Castle Walled Garden and donations to the garden charity appreciated.

We hope to see you there 🍓

Small, carefully crafted lapel arrangements to join M, members of his family and his closest pals on a very momentous day yesterday.

The Spring sun streamed generously through the leaves at the Botanics creating that magical dappled light as they said their I do's in the John Muir Grove. A magic day for a magic couple ✨

The perfect petticoats and satiny ruffles of ranunculus.

We love to use these blousy beauties at this time of year. Their little barely open buds are perfect for buttonholes and accessories, and the larger heads with their layers of gently unfolding petals are ideal ingredients for bouquets, buds, larger arrangements and bountiful Spring installs. They get bonus points for their sometimes wiggly, sometimes quirky stems and the great variety of forms and sizes.

We've been thoroughly enjoying these peachy pinks, delicate pastels and punchy oranges this May. And how fun is this stripey number? Just like a little stack of party cupcake wrappers 🍭🧁🍬

'Thank you so much for making all my floral dreams come to life!'

Oh, doesn't it just make our little hearts sing when a message like this flutters into our inbox. And it's a great big thank you right back to all those couples who put their faith and trust into letting us fully do what we love to do. You guys rock.

This particular message was from the very lovely G + D who got married last month at - captured here so incredibly beautifully by

It's time. The roses are waking up in the garden and the air finally (finally!) has a gentle ribbon of warmth running through it. Late spring never smelled so good.

Our time in the garden yesterday was spent very happily snipping, snacking, chatting and arranging.

We had the most lovely visitors -Dagmara & little Lily. Lily loved looking at the flowers 💛

A few of the arrangements we made are pictured here in the orchard . The weather went from hail to sunshine on rapid repeat, with the occasional large gust of wind to keep us on our toes. It was funny!

Buttonholes created with much delight for L&K

We love choosing what to arrange in buttonholes and smaller arrangements, it’s where the sometimes overpowered or subtle small treasures of the season can be placed and positioned to have their flowery moment- an intricately pattered leaf, a tendril or wiggle in a stem, small fruits, seedheads and grasses- telling the story of that botanical moment in time. 🤍
