SPRING WORKSHOPS 🌱

We’re almost at the halfway mark of winter, and with each day, spring feels just that little bit closer!

If you’re dreaming of flowers and a fresh burst of creativity, we still have tickets available for our Hand-tied Bouquet Workshop on the 22nd March at 2pm and our Spring Bowl Arrangement Workshop on 26th April at 2pm.

Dainty meadow boxes, like fragrant miniature gardens, are a wonderful way to designate your aisle.

They give any ceremony space a touch of whimsy and charm, beckoning your guests to sit down and enjoy their seasonal welcome. Those of you who received 's December edition of the Ochre newsletter would have read her musing about our Highlights of 2024. (Those who didn't are welcome to catch up on all past editions of our 'Musings' via the newsletter link in our bio 💌)

Something that stood out as a highlight for us all were occasions where we got to make something or do something together. It may seem obvious that we like to do things together - this is why we have a collective after all - but you'd be surprised how occasionally the stars align such that all 6 of us are actually in the same place at the same time (and are doing something fun!), so these occasions are very special.

Pictured are two such meet-ups that were mentioned. Visiting the snowdrops at a special place in Fife , and making with snowdrops in a beautiful garden in East Lothian .

If you've ever wanted to experience carpets of these tiny perfect flowers, we recommend visiting a garden known for its snowdrops near you. At the beginning of the year, it's just the kind of magic to uplift you and fill you with hope 🤍 Next month is snowdrop month, so keep a weekend bookmarked and I promise you won't be disappointed.

SPRING WORKSHOPS are GO

After planting bulbs at the edge of winter, we're now beginning to see the sweetest little green noses emerging from the earth and it's got us pretty excited for the first of our seasonal workshops scheduled for this year. A double whammy of springtime delights.

Meadows and urns and bowls and buds. Oh my!

Some of our very, very favourite things to make, all thoughtfully and carefully assembled together for lovely E+T's enchanting day at last September. Captured so very perfectly by ✨✨✨

Looking ahead to this year, we're taking part in magical Wedding Showcase on 1st March and are looking forward to meeting lots of new and excited couples thinking about tying the knot in their beautiful and historically significant spaces this year and next. Snowdrops are a florist’s quiet thrill, the first flowers to break through the frozen ground, bringing a hint of spring’s return. Their delicate stems and nodding heads will soon fill our hands and ceramic bowls, well, maybe still a couple of months away, but it can’t come soon enough.

On this winter solstice, we’re leaning into the promise of longer days ahead. These apricot daffodils, still tucked away in our beds, remind us that spring is waiting just beneath the surface.

These little trumpet-like blooms will soon herald the change of season, filling the air with their delicate scent. For now, we’re savoring the slower pace and dreaming of all the lush spring scents to come.
