Etsy have an uncanny way of spotting trends before they become a thing. Back in March 2020 when we were just getting our heads around lockdown, they spotted a need for cloth face masks and 2 months later the market exploded so when a couple of months ago they started talking about celebrating friendships I thought I’d design a cake topper and list it and I’ve just had my first sale today!

Here are my Fake Cupcakes! I didn’t think my waistline could handle eating the real thing on a regular basis just so that I could take pictures 😂 so thanks to Lucy at Joy Arts and Crafts I now have these fab fakes to use to photograph my new charms. My toppers are available as either charms or with food safe bamboo sticks- you just select which option you prefer. After a conversation with Jade at Homecaked (who makes the real ones for me for special occasions), I’m still debating about painting them in nude🧁 What do you all think?

I bought a ‘fake cake’ recently with the intention of taking pictures of toppers before I post them out but I’ve still got to drill the hole in the top of it. To tell you the truth, I’m a bit scared I’ll drill it too wide and ruin it 😂

It’s not often that I come across a name that doesn’t personalise well to add to a topper but Tilly definitely doesn’t. Added to Bon Voyage it just looked linedlines descending from it rather than a name so I had to improvise and create a second suitcase topper instead. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻that my buyer approves.
