Oh how we love a n**e colour palette. Hayley and Trevor's wedding was just the perfect blend of fresh neutral tones, making it super stunning for summer. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Hayley and Trevor said their I do's at the gorgeous and even though there was a wedding coordinator that managed the venue's timings they hired a Dolly on the Day to set up and style the barn for the wedding breakfast , be their time keeper and do all the little jobs they didn't want their bridal party to have to worry about. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Schedule these walks into your day so that you know how long you have and enjoy these quiet moments without feeling rushed.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Ask your photographer what time the golden light will be on your wedding day, its changes daily and you don't want to miss it because you are in the middle of your speeches or tucking into your desert. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Insta verses Dolly reality. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Carol and Antonio were married in beautiful Goudhurst and had integrated lots of little Mexican influences into their day to celebrate Antonio's Mexican Heritage.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Tequila before, during and after the wedding breakfast definitely sticks in our memory, a DJ during dinner mixed with the Tequila meant no one waited for the evening reception to start the dancing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This Mariachi band were hired to welcome guests as they walked from the church 5 minutes away to the beautiful village hall BUT behind these smiles were moments of sheer panic only half an hour before this photo was taken.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
These wonderful musicians, with a very limited library of English words between them had caught a train from London to Goudhurst, not only was their train half an hour late but when they arrived at the station they were surprised that a small village station doesn't have a taxi rank like you find in London. So they had no way of getting to the Village Hall. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We always have all suppliers contact details and they always have ours so they called us. With only half an hour until they were due to play we had to try and work out where they were and then using our Dolly Automobile we raced to pick them up - they literally arrived - thankfully in this attire - with a minute to spare and no one knew any different as they danced their way from the church to the village hall. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We nearly reached for a shot of tequila at this point but it's a Dolly promise never to drink before the first dance :)

So the pubs are reopening tomorrow but still no clarity on when weddings larger than 30 will be allowed, life is starting to get back to some kind of normal - except if you are planning a wedding for Autumn onwards then you will still be non the wiser on what to do. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Just remember this, it will all work out in the end, and if it doesn't happen this year It will still be the most amazing, best day of your life next year. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Look at these happy faces from years gone by, we can remember every single one of these moments because we were there, behind the scenes, running around doing all sorts of jobs that allowed them all to totally relax and enjoy every moment.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Our Dolly To Do list was different for each wedding because each couple created a day that was unique and special to them, we joined their team of suppliers as their Day Manager, to make sure all the plans came together when they were supposed to and how they wanted them too. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We can honestly say we used an item from our emergency kit for everyone of these wedding but can you guess which one of these grooms split their trousers less than hour before the ceremony and needed a Dolly on the Day to sew them back up?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

After a couple of months of rescheduling with our lovely 2020 couples, home schooling 15 children and generally taking stock The Dolls are now looking forward to all that 2021 promises to bring.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We can't tell you how much we have missed setting up and supporting our couples this summer.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What do we have planned to keep us busy for the rest of the season? We will continue with our HiiT workouts at home to make up for not flexing our Dolly muscles.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We will make sure we get out for a really long walk once a week, so that we can achieve at least 23,000 steps like we would do at each wedding. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
AND we shall keep smiling because all couples that have postponed have so much to look forward too and oh my goodness 2021 Is going to be the biggest celebration. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

For those of you that don't know, this is Sarah, who is a ball of energy, strong as an ox and smiles like this ALL day! What better way to celebrate International Women's Day than with a behind the scenes video of us working with some amazing fellow women in business.

When Jenny from Longton Wood asked us to work with her to bring together a team of suppliers that could create a shoot to showcase her gorgeous venue, we couldn't resist. Thats when the concept Dewdrops and Daydreams was created and an amazing team of women came together to showcase their creativity and expertise.

Today we are celebrating our shoot being featured on Whimsical Wonderland Weddings and we thank the great Jack Corthine Photo Video for capturing us at work.

As wedding planners, it's our role to get to know our clients and to understand what they would like for their wedding day. It is then our job to create a brief and bring together a team of suppliers that can deliver the perfect day.

This may not have been a real wedding but it does show the amount of work and effort that goes into creating wedding days and shows amazing team work at its best.

We provided our Dolly On The Day service for lovely Rosie and Dani for their beautiful woodland wedding at Longton Wood last summer.

The brides and their families and friends stayed onsite in a gorgeous bell tent village set up by Victoria Lily Events the night before the wedding and had such a relaxed morning getting ready for their nuptials under a gorgeous canopy of trees. The wonderful Katie from True Blue Ceremonies - Independent Celebrant conducted a beautiful ceremony and then the celebrations began in one of LPM Bohemia - The Tent Co. Ltd epic tents.

When you book a blank canvas wedding and want a truly relaxed vibe, do consider hiring a Dolly on the Day to carry out the setting up, tidying up, coordinating suppliers and time keeping the schedule - just think, if you dont who else will do it all for you?
