Happy Monday 🏵

A morning of gardening and an afternoon of planning is a lovely way to start the week. Particularly as the rain has stayed away for the last week or so!

I have an exciting couple of weeks coming up, photo shoots, arrangements for a rather special supper, and visits from dearest friends 🌸

I often forget to take pictures of bouquets before they head put for delivery, but today I remembered!

Grown and gathered from the garden of ,they are a celebration of Scottish blooms at their finest. After a slow start, the season is really beginning to pick up, and I am so ready for it ☀️

A Flower head piece created with British flowers grown and dried in North Somerset finished with a handdyed silk 🌸

Dried Dahlias, Cornflowers, Winged Everlasting, Wrinkled Cress, Larkspur, and vintage crystal beads (rescued from a chandelier) come together in this whimsical and romantic look!

My first job was a paper round, and i spent my hard earned cash on vintage dresses. A wise investment im grateful to my 14 year old self making! Around this time, i read The Lost Art of keeping Secrets by Eva Rice for the first time. Set in 1955, it fed my love of vintage clothes and crumbling manor houses.

This year-long series of photos is built around each of these treasured gowns. Creating the perfect flower crown and accessories to go with each.

Celebrating those folk who have made my life golden and capturing those shining moments when you are on the edge of everything happening, and exactly where you need to be.

Putting my bird nest collection to good use. I can never leave a birds nest behind when I come across them cutting back or pruning gardens, Making a new one every year seems such a lot of work! In designing this piece, I wanted something from a fairy tale, showing off the nests and their magic.

Just as I was leaving for a couple of days, the ribbon arrived. So, of course, I had to tie it to a wreath right away. I love ribbon, a lot. I have collected so much over the years I have boxes and boxes, some that is to precious to use. This Sorrel Primrose Flowers ribbon is now the favourite 💕
