Can you believe just 24 hours before some of these pictures were taken, this space was an empty sports hall!

We were privileged to be asked by Southport College / KGV Sixth Form College to design this space for them to host five events over the duration of last week.

It’s fair to say the pictures don’t do this one justice!

Moonlight Events 5th Birthday & The Face Behind The Business! 🎉

For those of you who don’t know me, Hi I’m Scott, the Founder and Owner of Moonlight Events 👋🏼

It’s hard to believe exactly five years to this day is when I sat down and formalised the idea of starting a business.

As some of you will know, I started this company hiring out light up letters and gazebos with the aim of growing into larger events like we work on today.

But never did I think we would have gone this far this quickly!

It began with just me and my poor mum running around Southport dropping off light up numbers & LED Games left right and centre - operating out of a garage & two sheds!

And now we have 30+ freelancers on the books and run out of a 2,500 sq/ft warehouse (that we have already outgrown)

So to say things have gone from strength to strength would be an understatement 🔥

There is no doubt that I wouldn’t be able to write this post without the support from ALL our customers - from party & wedding hire to our corporate and full production clients. So thank you to all!

I can’t wait to write this post again in another five years and compare the difference 👏🏼

Southport College Hair & Beauty Show 2024 🎬

And what a show it was! It’s hard to believe this space was an empty sports hall just a few hours before these pictures were taken 🔥

Over 45 lighting fixtures, a giant 2m x 8m Video Wall and SFX’s surrounded the carpeted stage and cat walk for the students to show off their work.

Exactly one month ago today we were at The Atkinson beginning the rig for All Souls Dramatic Club! 🎭 We played a very small part in a very tech heavy show this year - with some of our video wall used as the set plus a few of our lights incorporated into the rig. It was great to work alongside The Event Studio, Domino Electrotechnical Solutions & Infinity Technical Services once again! The Timelapse of the de-rig shows how much work goes into a show like this. (Until the camera battery dies that is!)
