⚠️ Sorry but this is another post about scammers I'm afraid 🤦 I got sent this last night by a friend who spotted it on the Stallfinder Midlands group, a 'woman' named Lily Smith using my poster to fraudulently sell stalls at fake events and scam money from people. I've lost count of how many of these I've discovered in the past week, and it's taken me until now to check this one out. So, I've just searched for the Lily Smith profile and had a scroll down. It literally took me 30 seconds to get to the bottom of the page and see the real person behind it ... please meet 'Lily Smith' 😅

These scammers are EVERYWHERE I'm discovering new ones every day. They do not care! They are relentless!! Please please before you send money to people, check out their profile and do some digging. It's not difficult to suss out a scammer. Their profiles are empty, they have no friends, they have no likes or comments on pics, they have no 'about' info, or like this numpty .. they forget to delete their original pic at the bottom of the profile!! 🤦

If you see this Lily Smith profile on any group, please report it to the group admin. Or share this post with them. I'm guessing they're not just lurking on Midlands groups, they usually join stallholder groups across the UK, USA and Australia. Please be on your guard! ⚠️

So basically .. scammers are allowed to steal my posters, create fake profiles by pinching other people's names and pics, advertise stalls at fake events, sell these stalls, commit fraud and take people's money .. and Facebook does nothing!! Yet I've just got in trouble for sharing my events on groups and now I'm banned from posting in groups 🤦 Makes perfect sense!!

Please please stallholders, local people to Alvechurch, if you see my link or poster for this Saturday at The Ark, please give it a share for me 👏 I would really appreciate it 💖

❤️ We are really looking forward to being back at the Ark in Alvechurch this Saturday for our last indoor event of the year. It really is a beautiful venue and we've enjoyed holding several events here throughout 2023 ❤️

Hi everyone 👋 I've just finished emailing all stallholders who are booked into Saturday's event at The Ark in Alvechurch. Please let me know if you haven't received anything (check your spam folder and message requests just incase).

I don't mean to sound like a nag, but PLEASE PLEASE read the email as it contains important information. Every week there's at least one person who says they didn't know they had to give a small raffle prize, didn't know they wouldn't be allowed in if they arrived early/late, or didn't know they hadn't booked a table.

You will have space for ONE table, so please don't bring two unless you've already booked extra space.

Also, this venue is in quite a strange location, so please Google the venue and plan your journey.

I also need to know if you're bringing a rail, if you need access to a plug, if you need to be away from the music etc. I'm dealing with a LOT of stallholders every week and try my best to cater to special requirements, but I need to know these things in advance. Once I've set the room up on Saturday morning and stallholders have started to arrive, I cannot then move things around.

Unfortunately I've just been contacted by someone who has been scammed by the Cori Beech profile, has sent them money for a fake event, and has now been blocked.

This makes me so angry 😠 we need to work together to stop these scammers, as Facebook does nothing!!

Please please, if you are booking an event, search the person's name before sending any money. Send by PayPal as 'goods and services' not 'friends and family'. If they complain they'll be charged if you send as 'friends and family' say 'OK, I'll add on an extra £1 to cover the charges, I'd rather be protected thank you'. You have no protection if you send as 'friends and family'.

Send the money to a business account, not a personal account.

You could contact the venue and ask if the event is genuine, but this doesn't always work as these scammers clone genuine events and attempt to sell stalls at them.

Look out for phrases that aren't used commonly here in the UK, such as 'vendor fair'. Look out for American spellings and requests for American companies that aren't common stalls here in the UK. They often advertise 2 day events with a free meal for stallholders, huge pitches and free electricity. These are always fake!

If you do get scammed, report it to Action Fraud, they should be able to give you a crime reference number. They have a page.

Report it to Facebook, although that's a waste of time as they don't care!

Ask if they have a page or other active social media where you can see photos and videos of past events.

Ask if they have a website.

Google them! Facebook search them!

If you have any other tips please let me know.

I've come across 3 scammers in the past few days - Cori Beach / Beech, Charlotte Mitchel and Lisa Natasha. If you know of any others please comment below.

This has been happening to me for years, with scammers taking my logo, posters, event names and descriptions, venue locations etc etc and attempting to sell stalls at them. Usually they are based abroad, but the most prolific one here in the UK was called Mark Dixon / Paul Madden. I hope by naming these people, that this post will show up if anyone searches them.

When booking an event with me, you'll see it's all done through my website, with payment going to a business account. My social media has been active for over 10 years with many many past events, and hundreds of photos and videos.

Please share to any stallholder groups you are part of. Thank you 👏

A few pics from our Christmas Fair at Arden Hall yesterday ✨️ starting with the queue outside the door before we opened at 12pm 🤩 we had a brilliant day. Thank you so much to Arden Hall and Castle Bromwich Council for having us ❤️ thank you to Santa for spending the afternoon with us in his Grotto, to Liya for working so hard in Lily's Pop-Up Tea Room, to everyone who popped along to see us throughout the afternoon, and of course to all our wonderful stallholders 👏👏

We will be back at Arden Hall in the summer for PARTY IN THE PARK in June, and of course, next Christmas to do this wonderful Christmas Fair all over again 🎅

In the meantime, please join us next weekend for our last indoor event of the year, next Saturday 9th December at The beautiful Ark at St Laurence Church in Alvechurch 🎄 we will be there from 12-4pm with live music, wonderful stalls, and Lily's Pop-Up Tea Parlour 🎂

Then our LAST EVENT OF THE YEAR will be the following week - Saturday 16th December 9am - 4pm, when we will be holding our outdoor Christmas Market at Chelmsley Wood Shopping Centre alongside Santa's Grotto 🎅. This is the only event we have with stalls still available, so please get in touch if you'd like to join us 🥰

Further to my last post about someone copying my poster, scribbling out the address, and attempting to sell stalls at a fake event ... I've just discovered another one! 😡 Unfortunately this is a lot closer to home and they are actually trying to sell stalls at a venue I use, Arden Hall! THIS IS A SCAMMER, there is no event at Arden Hall on December 16th, please do not send this person money! ⚠️

I'm a bit shocked to discover 2 scammers using my posters in one day 😱 how did I discover this one?? Well, the numpty attempted to post it on my own group 😅

Charlotte Mitchel is a scammer! If you see her on any group please report to admin, and do not send her any money! ⚠️
