I’m probably considered too soppy, but I say ‘I love you’ to my very select few A LOT! My Sons may roll their eyes a bit now but my word, do they know they are loved.

Children, Husband, wives, parents, siblings, best friends… ‘love you’, ‘drive safe’ - just bloody say it.. say it all and say it A LOT!

What about during the drinks reception?! Have you got the list of family photos that need doing? Who needs to be in them?

There’s lots more, that you do not want to be doing as a Bride or Groom.

That’s what I’m there for, so you don’t have to and can enjoy your day as the most important guests at your own wedding!

Yes, they are real.

A type of ‘situational sadness’ that is likely to hit after the big day.

A couple of thought provoking ways to prevent the blues are:

Be mindful during the planning process- We can do this by paying attention to how we plan the wedding, how we make the day really special for both of us in a way that’s consistent with who we are, both individually and as a couple. It’s difficult to avoid comparison with other people’s weddings, but do try.

Focus on your long-term relationship- Pay attention to your day-to-day life, especially your relationship with each other, Yes, of course it is a special day, but there will be other wonderful moments in the lead-up to it and more afterward. Don’t put your life on hold. It’s important to keep talking to your partner in the run-up to your wedding even if there are some difficult things to discuss.

My support with continue after the wedding, as like we have seen here the blues are a real thing and after the phenomenal relationship we will build, I couldn’t just abandon you when you’re in the bad bits too… that’s not a relationship!

Find a photo.

It seems bananas, I know, but this one photo led to the incredible flowers I had at my own wedding last year.

The professionals really do know what they are doing. If you can find a photo you truly adore everything about... they can do the rest but you must trust them!

I chose the astounding , and literally watched her work her magic in order to create the glory! I am now officially obsessed with flowers!

I am such a sucker for love.

Our love story is my absolute fave, obvs, but one of the best things about being a wedding planner is hearing your love stories and the reasons behind the whole wedding.

I mean, seriously, this is a million percent the way forward! Due to Ffi at doing the most insane job with the flowers for our wedding last summer, I could not bear the thought of them going to waste so Judith came to my rescue! 1 cannot thank you both enough!

There’s more, don’t worry but I’ll drip feed them! Too busy happy crying at them!

Love is a verb. It is a word used to describe an action; the action of being in love or loving another person. Yet some of us believe that love should be effortless or easy. I saw this quote recently and it really resonated with me so I thought I’d share it with you lovely lot!

Think back to the last thing that you had to work for, that you planned and saved for, or that you finally accomplished after years of hard work.  How rewarding was that?!

Anyone who has gone to university, saved for a deposit on a house or pursued a personal goal knows what I am talking about. Hard work and dedication pay off. Things that are easily attained most certainly don’t mean as much.

Love works in a similar way, after the initial “being in love” stage fades, love takes work—love takes action. That. Is. All!

This is a well known, well Etsy’d joke but it is so true!

Of course, you’re going to annoy the buggery out of each other for the rest of your life… you live together which entails a billion different nuances you each have to contend with but you also have to manage money, time, hobbies, bills, house stuff and, wait for it, extended family!!! All of which has the potential to be bloody annoying on their own! Add to it, having to communicate about it all, make ‘joint’ decisions… it’s a minefield!

Just remember to annoy the s**t out of your spouse for fun stuff too… be silly, be immature, try to much about, make jokes! The giggles, when they’re annoying you, are the best kind!!
