In 2010 Miranda set up Miranda Hackett Flowers in Bray, Berkshire and in 2017 moved to South Devon where she continues to work for London and local customers, alongside running workshops where she demonstrates how to achieve her style of artisanal floristry. Clearing and take-down are an essential part of what we do -. finishing the job as professionally as we start it. It is also totally self-serving and self-gratifying to be showered with compliments and warm appreciation, such as we experienced yesterday and an absolute joy to work with clients who notice every flower and stem and want to learn more.

Marquee Trees for F&M 22 June 24
We created these high impact displays with beautifully fresh Cornish foliage, in the main dining area, on the edge of the dance floor and within Sperry's statement huge round bar.

Yesterday we decorated The Great Hall at ready for international guests arrival. Tomorrow we will transform this mantel with flowers in the chosen palette and style, and create all the other decorations needed for S&T's wedding.

This is a special rose. A rose that perfectly fits everything she asked for - blousy, creamy buttery, beautifully scented, classically English.
This is Wollerton Old Hall by . I included it in our client's designs and mood boards and tomorrow I will use this stem when making her bridal bouquet. This will be for The Sophie Bouquet. Grown by us for her.

Yesterday was a rest day, spent celebrating my birthday belatedly (it had fallen mid-wedding work). Starting with a peaceful early hour working on the rose plants (to stimulate blooms for this coming weekend's wedding); a delicious brunch & presents with my family and then a gorgeous afternoon together larking, lounging and swimming by the sea. Topped off with banana birthday cake and an indulgent moment with our Honey Dijon roses in my new Sorrento bottles from Garden Trading given to me by my sister.
Back on weddings this morning, having cleared Saturday's wedding at Kingston Estate Weddings . Now full steam ahead for an exciting wedding at Huntsham Court Country House, Devon with house decorations for guests arrival on Thursday, dinner reception table decorations for Friday and then the main event, ceremony and wedding dinner on Saturday. We have a really gorgeous palette for Saturday's decorations...one which and I have been working on (and in Georgina's case, planting and growing for) for some time.

Revelling in Magnolias
Modern styling of these ancient blooms, paired with camelias, cherry blossom and anemones for a fresh take on garden shrubs and spring blooms. Picked from the grounds at and displayed here in the entrance hall for a shoot for with
The prehistoric sculptured shape of magnolia blooms gives away their truly historic origins. Did you know they evolved with dinosaurs and before bees?
Despite the difficulty of working with magnolias (their petals bruised very easily) they bring back very fond childhood memories for me. We had one huge tree growing against the wall outside my bedroom window and we used the petals as bowls, cups and vessels when playing shops with my sisters under the old oak tree in our garden.

Our client meeting on Monday was at The Lost Music Hall, part of the Great Ambrook Estate, on our doorstep in Devon.
We worked up ideas and designs for decorating this stunning and unique venue for our clients' wedding in May 2025.
I'm already champing at the bit....as you can see it has some incredible spaces with stunning interiors. Think elegant, whimsical flower styling in a considered neutral palette using May-time flowers....can't wait to create this vision for such an enthusiastic and warm couple.

We used hellebores, anemones, fritillaries, tulips and spring blossoms. All grown in Devon or Cornwall.

"Our aim for this shoot was to showcase a number of local suppliers to Boconnoc and the South West. Highlighting those that are choosing to tread lighter on our planet and are far more environmentally conscious of our foot print when producing weddings and events in this country.
By looking at UK dress makers using consciously sourced fabrics milled and produced here in the UK, to flowers grown and in season in Devon and Cornwall at the beginning of April (rather than high-mileage imported flowers). It goes without saying that Miranda Hackett used only foam and plastic free techniques when designing the flowers for this event."
We were delighted to be invited by Boconnoc and Rosie Barratt Events to be part of this shoot. Our flower brief was to source from growers in Devon and Cornwall only - quite a challenge for the time of year! After scouring the two counties growers we sourced every last stem and flower available in the chosen palette and style, so showcasing the very best of South West blooms on 1st April.

Winter Solstice Wedding Just back off the island after setting up today for S&C's wedding at @burghislandhotel . Absolutely love the pair of white pianos in the hotel...made all the more special for me as I know they're played by my son's piano teacher.
