Weddings are becoming more diverse by the moment - tiered cakes, sugar art, buttercream sheet cakes & contemporary patisserie all in the mix for 2025 bookings and beyond.

Light and dark...

I started over a decade ago with mainly creating abstract and textured design (lots of white) and have kind of gradually drifted into sugar flowers.
I do have the odd abstract ideas bobble about in my head, but I'm always wary of producing something a bit contrived if that makes sense?

I'm sure one will pop out at some point...

I do love this one - simple yet dramatic. Lots of breathing space and still contemporary.

I do 'big' cakes, but my heart lies with smaller creations...

The attention to detail and time that goes into the sugarwork makes these more of a nice jog rather than a marathon 😁

Bubblegum pastels and a whole load of sugar flowers...

Soft lilac, pink and yellow roses, pink orchids, sweet peas in whites and lilac, fluffy filler flowers and a smidge of green foliage.

I love the mix of English country garden meets modern Asian with the cascading orchids.

The palest peachy pink base colour adds a lovely warmth to the proceedings.

Elegant and contemporary luxury.

Detail...

Peonies were huge last year and still going strong for 2024 weddings. Can't see them going any time soon!

These large sugar blooms create a super soft, pale pastel effect. Large mixed with smaller peony heads and delicate tones from a tiny splash of deeper pink to whites and the palest of apricots.

Wafer thin sugar petals make it seem like they would yield to the touch 😊

No filler or other flowers needed here, the peony is the star of the show.

Ten years old this year! 😲

Classic green, white, gold, and big blousy sugar magnolia.

I put gold on most things back in the day, not sure I do it at all now unless asked. I think you grow out of certain styles - sometimes you swing back round, sometimes it's left in the past...
