⭐️ Big News from the Tattie Rose Studio as we step boldly into February. We are excitedly working on the plans for our new adventure, after lots of people asking for workshops and courses we are at the early stages of building and creating a flower school like no other! A hub of education, flowers and design for people interested in making floristry a career or who want to greatly improve on the basics they already have. It has been my aim for a long time to make a place where creativity can bubble and people can learn. I wish there had been a course available when I was young that would have given me the confidence to go against the grain whilst also giving me the practical skills and knowledge I needed to build my design skills, that harnessed sustainable techniques and mindsets but encouraged ideas, initiative and innovation. Much more information to come but please follow for the adventure of the building work! In the meantime we are designing and planning some beautiful events this year, a true joy to do and the site visits start this week and we can’t wait. Well done everyone for making it through January. Much of our work is kept private at our clients requests but we will share what we can. X

I can’t stop thinking about a little thing my dear friend Nora put on her beautiful Instagram account a few days ago, this wonderful poem and the fact, as Nora said that rest is required for growth and no flower blooms all year round. I feel so lucky that for the first time in nearly 18 years of flowers and working for myself I am having some time to treasure important moments and rest. I don’t take a moment of this time for granted x

In nature’s tender grasp, a wondrous sight,
A flower’s quiet journey, hidden from light.
Beneath the earthly veil, a secret it keeps,
A treasure wrapped in petals, as it slowly sleeps.

Within its fragile heart, a dream takes hold,
A promise of beauty, yet to unfold.
In the realm of silence, it gathers its might,
Preparing for the moment, to embrace the light.

A joy to make winter flowers and foliage against the most beautiful backdrop. De Gournay’s incredible hand painted ‘Earlham’ chinoiserie with its beautiful blousey peonies and delicate songbirds set alive with slivers of orange and nodding paperwhites. I left this job on such a high, working with the most amazing team, the atmosphere was incredible- a really special one. Our work in the last few weeks has been private but there will be a little sneak peak of it just before Christmas. Now busy at home making magic for my brood. This will be a very special Christmas x

Drawing up some designs for some exciting projects next year. We have some beautiful new Guineafowl at home which are bringing much joy, on a hunt for a pair of peafowl to join the ones we have too who are currently sunbathing in the doorway of the office x

Wild, gentle and spine tingling. Two of my favourite church set ups, where the scale brings the drama and the colour is subtle. We have worked this year on some amazing events, it has been rather lovely keeping our work for the eyes of our clients and guests only. Next year we are taking on only a few very special weddings as we work on some amazing other projects but those weddings will be extraordinary and I am excited x
