End of year reflectionsAs another year draws to a close, I, as many do, enjoy a chance to reflect and I am truly grateful, 2024 has been a wonderful year for us on so many levels!

We have had lots of fabulous weddings, gained couples as friends, worked with new suppliers and venues and strengthened our relationships with existing ones. We feel truly honoured to have worked with such incredible people.

It has at times been tricky (mainly for me balancing looking after a toddler and running a busy business). But after embracing our growth - my little one now goes to childcare part time and we have virtual assistance, a Wedding Coordinator and our freelance team has grown too!

We have grown from strength to strength and I am so proud of what we have achieved this year. I look forward to what 2025 has in store for us!

A massive thank you to everyone who has helped to make this year possible and thank you to you all on here who continue to support our journey.

Yes! This is exactly what makes this job so enjoyable!This was such a highlight from this year. A & B wanted to create a relaxed and beautiful day, with them and their loved ones thoroughly enjoying every moment.
These photos show just how happy they were!

Seeing my couples have so much fun on their wedding day gives me a feeling of such contentment that it stays with me. I am truly honoured to do this 'job', to be part of one of the most important days of their lives - it is a responsibility that I don't take lightly and a real privilege.

The details that make up an experience!Right now you are probably going over all the details that you need to consider for your Christmas day.

Whether you're planning the cooking timings, the table decor, what to wear, when you'll exchange gifts, what games you might play, what you might have to eat and drink in the evening. You will likely consider every detail ahead of time and it is those details that make the day go smoothly and make it more enjoyable for your guests.

Well a wedding is no different - just a lot bigger with a lot more details to consider!

Your choices will reflect who you are and the things you like - are you foodies? Do you love fine wine? How do you like to entertain your friends?

We have the pleasure of bringing your details to life. From creating your wedding design to managing the suppliers and schedule on the day - we are with you at every stage.

We think about all the details so you don't have to - from the shade of the florals to the number of candles, from the size of the dancefloor to the suppliers' power requirements. Every element is well thought through, so that the whole experience is one to remember for you and your guests.

What a picture!This moment was perfectly captured by S & A's photographer. Choosing your photographer is really important - you need to choose someone whose style you like of course, but you should also choose someone who you can get on with (as they are with you all day)!

When I am working with a couple on a full planning basis I do the venue search and the supplier search.

Now obviously there are suppliers that I have worked with, who I would recommend in a heartbeat and would love to work with time and time again. There are also suppliers who I have worked with who I wouldn't necessarily recommend.

Each wedding is different and so the suppliers that are suitable for that wedding will differ. I always consider many elements when shortlisting suppliers, this includes:
- style
- product
- budget
- availability
- service
- delivery
- way of working
- location

I do not take any commission from suppliers so when I recommend one it is because I have considered all of the above factors to match the right suppliers to your day.

DESIGN // One of my favourite bits about planning a wedding is developing the design. ⁣I always start my process by getting an idea of what the couple likes and what they envisage for their day (and importantly if there is anything that they don't like).

With N&P this summer we were clear on the brief from the beginning, we wanted to use a classic wedding palette of white and green, but with a touch of glamour.

I used both modern and more classic tableware designs, considering texture and details and the fabulous florals brought everything together.

The couple were delighted with the results, which is what it's all about!

I don't have a set style - every couple is different and so every wedding I create is different too. If you want to discuss working with me to design your wedding then please get in touch.

Fit for a princess! Our beautiful bride had a fabulous 2nd dress on her wedding day in September. It was a real moment, she shone!

Creating your tablescapeWhen planning a wedding or party, you will inevitably have a chosen style, a look, a feeling that you want to create for your guests and your tablescape is key in capturing this style.

Luckily there is such variety available with tableware, linen, florals, stationery etc that you can get creative and curate your chosen design. Whether it be modern, classic, rustic or elegant, simple or with some drama - there's so much to choose from and using your chosen wedding style consistently will elevate the experience for you and your guests.

2 Years // This week marked the 2nd Wedding Anniversary of K&F !They had the most beautiful winter wedding in the city. Their ceremony took place in Kings Chapel at Somerset House followed by their fabulous reception .

It was an absolute pleasure working with K&F and I'm so thrilled that we get to support the family again in 2025 with Katie's sister's wedding!

Planning LiteThis is quickly becoming my most popular service.
Essentially it is perfect for couples that need a lot of support, they may be interested in full planning - but either they don't have the budget or they want to do a few little bits of planning themselves.

With this service I look after the full planning of 5 areas for you, researching, comparing, sourcing and planning with suppliers in those 5 areas. You get to choose what the 5 areas are, leaving you to look after the little bits that you want to do.

Then at 4-6 weeks before your wedding. I will go through all of the rest of your plans, and, being an experienced wedding planner, I have the knowledge to guide you on anything that may be missing. I will liaise with all suppliers from that point and I will be there on the day to deliver the wedding we have so carefully created.

JUST A JOB? // I love my job, it is honestly such an honour to be part of some of the most important days of my couple's lives. This isn't just a job for me! It is a responsibility, it can be hard work, it is a lot of pressure but it is an absolute joy.

Words cannot describe the way it feels to see my couples' permanent grins and their guests laughing and in awe of their surroundings. When the band or DJ is on and everyone is dancing the night away - there is a moment of pure elation!

This feedback is exactly what I want to hear - I want to know that you and your bridal party have been able to truly relax and enjoy every moment!

Classic elegance!I absolutely loved the inspiration images that this bride sent to me when we were discussing the design for her wedding. They were all delicate, romantic, elegant, and, as dinner was to take place in the Mountbatten Room at the RAC, we had to ensure the design worked with such a classic space.

The stationery designer in the US had created beautifully delicate floral illustrations with touches of cream, blush and blue - which we brought into the table with the vintage cream lace charger plates, cornflower blue napkins and blush tapered candles.

It is important to include specials touches like this to enhance the look of the space and the experience of guests, but you don't have to upgrade everything. Sometimes simple elegance is best!

COLOUR PALETTES // Something that will really enhance the aesthetics of your day is to create a colour palette - a collection of complimentary colours.Your colour palette has the power to create a certain mood for the day.

CAKE! // One of my favourite things to discuss!Here are a few tips to consider when choosing the right one for you:

1. You should use your existing plans as a blueprint. Essentially your cake should be compatible with the other choices made. For example your venue, the season you're getting married in, your wedding style, the bridal wear and colour palette - to ensure it is in keeping with your overall wedding plans.

2. Make sure you have your guest list planned before finalising your cake, so you can ensure you have one suitable for your size of wedding party.

3. Make sure you have sufficient space and set up time at the venue for the cake maker to assemble it.

4. Consider your budget as this can affect the detail on the cake. For example whether you can go for sugar flowers (which is labour intensive) or whether you will garnish with fresh flowers (make sure these are correctly wrapped as flowers are NOT food safe and can cause some bad reactions when they've contaminated the cake).

5. You should even consider the likely weather forecast for your wedding as this can affect whether you will go for whipped cream, buttercream or fondant icing for example.

Bonus tip - don't forget you need a cake knife to cut the cake. Check with the caterer or cake supplier to ensure you have one (never assume one of them will provide it)! I always have one in my kit just in case!

This fabulous cake was made by the wonderful . It was elegant and classic but with a modern twist. This was achieved by using mixed height tiers and by creating a fabulous textured effect (with the bottom 'deep' tier having a subtle embossed floral pattern). Captured here by .

MARQUEE WEDDINGS AT HOME // Planning a wedding at home, a place where you feel most comfortable, is a wonderful experience for you and your guests. It is the perfect place to tell your story and make even more memories. ⁣It does however have its challenges. I have explained the Pros and Cons (or really the Pros and things to consider) of planning a wedding at home in my blog. It discusses everything from guest numbers and catering to décor and toilets!

One big Pro is the flexibility you have to create the look, the feel and the experience that you want for yourselves and your guests. Just like we created here for A & B this last summer.

This is what we all love to see on a wedding day - a happy bride!The benefit of having someone there to coordinate your day is invaluable - it provides you with complete reassurance that no matter what happens everything is in hand.

Coordination doesn't only hold huge value for the day of your wedding, but it is also so useful 6 weeks before when the service begins. At this point we check through all your plans, and being experienced planners, we are able to see what may be missing. We will liaise with suppliers from that point and be sure that all of the logistics are thought about and in place, to ensure the smooth running on the day.
