Have you booked your Christmas party yet?
If you haven’t, I will be DJing at the Atholl Palace in Pitlochry again this year for the first three weekends in December!
Many people say this is the best Christmas party night in Scotland, I would agree!
If you’re fed up with typical Hotel Christmas party nights with average food, poor service and lacking proper decorations etc, then come to the Atholl Palace and experience the ultimate Christmas party night where everything is done properly!

As a DJ, who has worked for over 40 years in many of Scotlands’s top hotels and other venues I can safely say that I believe the Atholl Palace is the best by far!
I’ve had lots of Christmas dinners there and every one has been exceptional! The staff are fun, friendly and efficient and the hotel is stunning and it’s decorated from one end to the other with Christmas decorations!

What will I do differently this year? I’m toying with the idea of bringing 12 moving heads to this years event as well as all the other lighting!
This has been my favourite event every year for the last 16 years! I can’t believe how much it’s evolved since the first one! I love putting on huge shows like this!

Thanks for all the get well soon messages yesterday.
Surgery went well and I’m surprised that this morning I don’t have any pain in my eyes which I was told to expect. It was a bit of a scary moment this morning when I woke up and couldn’t see a thing apart from a blurry light. I had to feel my way to the bathroom and find the bag of cleaning stuff the hospital gave me.
Once I cleaned the mucus and blood off my eyes I could see clearer.
I took the eye patch off the other eye and now I can see enough to read messages and type.
So hopefully from here the swelling will go down and my eyesight will improve. A few days of rest and no lifting for a while.
Got to put anti biotics in my eyes 4 times a day and put ice packs on my eyes 6 times a day to reduce the swelling.
Overall not a bad experience.
Hospital and staff were excellent!

Post op photo!
All went well, they’ve taken the patch off my right eye so I can see.
Not a bad experience and will take a while to heal fully.
Will have two black eyes for a couple of weeks and some swelling etc.
The worst bit apart from the numerous anaesthetic injections around each eye was walking along the corridor being led by two nurses with both eyes blindfolded! Made you feel car sick without the car and a bit dizzy!
Going back to get stitches out and I have an enforced holiday for a while!
In January I go back for my follow up appointment.

Hopefully my eyesight will improve dramatically!
