We love running VIVA Carnival Club every Tuesday night and have been supporting The New Carnival Company’s Mardi Gras parade for many years both with costume creation and, of course, samba drumming.

Starting - Tuesday 28th January 2025

🥁Tuesdays 12.30 - 1.15pm - The Cloisters (Holy Trinity church), Church Road, Bembridge PO35 5NA

🥁Suitable for all adults of all abilities and open to all of the community.

💷 Donations at each session as these sessions are subsidised & donations will ensure they can continue once the funding runs out.

We're taking enrolments now! Places are limited, so get in quickly.

Following the success of our recent course, we've been asked to run a second 6 week course to help improve employability skills.

It's a really fun, inclusive course, with lots of opportunity to up-skill yourself. Have a read of some of our fantastic feedback!

This time we are also adding a mentoring stream, so if you've already attended our previous courses and want to join again, or if you are new but would like the opportunity to mentor others, we can support you to do so.

This 6 week course will begin at the end of January and is free to attend.

Last minute pre- Christmas job!

New black heads ordered for all VIVA Carnival Clubs nesting surdos. We were pleased that our friends at JP Percussion stock these nice Izzo ones. The coloured VIVA kit has been looking rather torn and raggedy, so we’re really pleased with how the replacement heads on this set look and sound.

We will be looking for a working party of volunteers to fit the rest of them in the new year ( so avoid eye contact if you don’t want to get roped in!!)

What a great day 'at the office' for us! Drumming & movement at the Christmas fayre, we met Santa and look at the cute ponies who also came to the party! Followed by a Raw Samba gig at Sandown's family fun day in the sunshine ☀️🥁🎄🎅

We had a lovely time today with some mums, grannies & babies at our first Christmas taster session for our upcoming courses starting in January.

We have another session on Monday at Cowes family hub 10-11am for bumps to babies.
