All in one day.

At the weekend we looked after the catering for an ordination at Portsmouth Cathedral for 200 guests. 🥪

A husband and and wife’s joint 70th birthday 🎈
And a hog roast for an evening wedding reception where the bride and groom did a 30 min set in their drum band. 🥁

Today we looked after the wake of Canon Gerard Flynn.

He was my head teacher for my last few years at St Jude’s school in Fareham. He was a head teacher who had rules and if you didn’t stick to them you knew about it. (Not that I was very naughty but I did see the wrong side of him a few times 😂😂)

He then became a priest and our paths crossed many times at events we catered for at the cathedral.

It was a privilege to be asked to look after the 175 people his wake and was nice to see so many people from my school days, teachers, friends parent’s etc.

We had a finger buffet with sandwiches, savouries, cakes along with tea & Coffee.

RIP Mr Flynn.

Chuffed and proud to be working with all my children this weekend. 🥰

We were at Square Tower on Friday for a 3 course wedding meal. 🍽️
(There was an ice cream van outside and I said I would treat them to one while speeches were on, he had gone when it was time😂 so got one from shop and ate it on the roof top terrace)

Saturday we were at Tournerbury Woods serving canapés, BBQ and jam jar desserts for a wedding

On Saturday Sam looked after a wedding buffet for me and did a super job working solo. 👌

What a busy but fun week.

🥪 200 sandwich buffet at the start of the week.

🥗 Conference in the naval museum.

💒 3 Weddings

🥘 Paella for a garden party the end the week.

🍷 and a long awaited day off tomorrow.

As always could not do this without my superb team. 🥰

Some pictures from a hot fork buffet wedding at square.tower.
Also a Naval dinner in explosion museum for 130, so proud of my team for this as it went so smoothly and had so many compliments on the food and service.

I left Emma in charge while I went off on a jolly with my friends cycling in Spain. 🇪🇸

So proud of her, had emails from the functions she looked after saying how nice the food was and the service was perfect with people being looked after but not really noticing they were there. 🥇

Not only did she have to run the show for 6 days the freezer broke down and she dealt with it and put in the extra time to get it sorted which involved shifting everything to another area off site and then back again.
(Thanks also to Anna and Hayden for helping lifting and shift) 💪🏻

Just so happened a picture of Emma helping Emma Forbes at a cooking demo popped up today from 13 years ago so though I would (embarrass her 😉) share this with you. 🧑‍🍳

Busy bank holiday weekend.

On Saturday we looked after 100 daytimes guests with canapés, lasagne and chocolate torte. 🍲

The bride & groom wanted serve ice cream onto the dessert as guests came up to them which was a nice touch) 💒

Then 160 evening guests with toasted sandwiches (which went down a storm)

Sunday we cooked and served a hot buffet in Emsworth for a French town twinning evening 🇫🇷

Monday was a day of rest.

Hope you all had a fun Bank Holiday. 😊

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Wright Choice Catering.

22 years today,

Emma was a 1 year old when we kicked this off and now she is part of it. 😍

My first job was my mother in laws 60th birthday party.

Good to see local Strawberries re now back in.

We use Westlands farmshop strawberries on our fruit platters. 🍓 👌
