So proud of my team. 🥰
I was away last weekend and left my team to look after events.
On my return I had a message from the venue manager saying how well they had done.

Had the pleasure of providing lunch for Princess Anne today at the Royal Navy Museum. 👸🏻
She enjoyed our sausage rolls and chocolate brownie. 😋
She spent a lot of time talking to various groups of people before heading off to other engagements.

🥳 Happy 21st Birthday to us 🥳
What a blast it has been, so many memories over the years and meeting so many great people.
We also have 2 new members of staff joining the team this month Sam who has started last week and is fitting in perfectly and we look forward to welcoming Tracey who will start mid May. 😊
It’s great being part of people’s special occasions and what better way to celebrate this than with a few words from a customer from the weekend. ☺️

STAFF NEEDED.
We have a rare opportunity to join our team.
Job will involve:
🍴Simple kitchen tasks.
🥗 Make deliveries in our van.
🍴Plating meals.
🥗Washing up.
🍴Serve at weddings and functions.
🥗Load & unload vans.
🍴Setting up for functions.
🥗Clearing down at functions.
As you can see it is a varied job as we are a small friendly team and we all do a bit of everything.
This can be full time , part time or on a casual basis, may take on 2 people and spread the job between them, will depend on who applies and what they can offer.
🚐 Must be able to drive. 🚐
Our base is in a remote location so your own transport would be ideal to get to and from work.

Such sad news about the passing of Steve Wright.
His BIG SHOW in the afternoons helped us get through the afternoons in the kitchen and we used to love playing the BIG Quiz all those years ago.
We even got a “shout out” in the afternoon once on the “serious jockin” when we were “serious hogging”
RIP Steve.

Had a routine inspection today.
Thanks to my team especially Lydia who came in every Monday afternoon to clean until she then moved to London and now Harry has taken over this role to keep our kitchen in tip top shape.

Was chuffed to get this email from a recent happy customer who was at a Christmas party. 🎄

There is many a local restaurant that could learn

We were so pleased to be part of Sophie's Legacy 10k event at the weekend. 🏃♂️
We cooked and served bacon rolls to the hungry runners on their return to Stubbington community centre. 🍔
Thanks so much for your custom, some people just popped in for a bacon roll. 😋💴
We were able to give the charity £450 which I am chuffed to bits with and it will help with the good work they do. 👍🏼 👏
Saturday was a day of charity events as we then went on to cook a dinner a memorial event in wallington and they had a raffle (for those that know me I do love a raffle) which I entered and I won a prize 🏆 😊 this was raising funds for a cancer charity which helps a lady from the village who was taken from us too soon.

We will be supporting this fantastic charity tomorrow at Stubbington Community centre 10-4
You can run, walk, cycle (swim) scoot, skip the 10k and then pay and collect your medal at the end.
We will have bacon and egg rolls for sale and all profits from the sales will be donated to Sophie's Legacy.
There is also loads going on in the hall as well, apple bobbing, tombola , face painting, sweets, arts and crafts, singing, dancing & massage.
Come down and be part of this great event and support this local charity.

Been really busy with wedding and private parties and worked with Kissing Gate Events with our brand new pizza ovens feeding a whopping 530 people with bbq and pizza then paella later on.

We have had a very busy week last week.
Worked with Kissing Gate Events on Thursday and Saturday serving Pizza and pasta Thursday and then Hog roast Saturday.
Saturday we were also at Grittenham barn serving pork loin stuffed with apricot stuffing.
Then Sunday we were at the Square Tower who had a 3 course meal with a finger buffet in the evening.
I always get to the end of the day and think “ahh I should have taken more pictures” but I’m always so busy making sure it all goes well I forget

We looked after the wedding of Mr. & Mrs. Gerry on Saturday at Grittenham Barn .
It was a wonderful sunny day and we served canapes while guests had drinks and photos then they sat down for a bbq meal followed by their wedding cake as dessert.
I have had 2 reviews today left on Google, so nice of them to take the time to do this so others can read all about how we work.

Had to turn King Charles down for the catering today as already busy. 👑 😂
We have made up some boxed afternoon teas for Sophie's Legacy to take to QA to celebrate the coronation. 👑🍰
Now I am at Tithe Barn serving afternoon tea for a wedding and this will be followed by a hog roast this evening 🍰🫖
Jonny is cooking a hot buffet to go to Park Gate for a birthday celebration this evening 🎉 🥘

🎉 20 years today I started this adventure. 🎉
My first job was my mother in laws 60th birthday party on the 5th (she is celebrating her 80th this week) 😮
So proud of what we have achieved over the years. 😊
Thanks to all our customers, suppliers, and staff for your help, custom and support over the last 20 years. 😘
Without you all I wouldn’t have got this far.
Wonder what the next 20 years will bring (apart from more grey hairs)😂

Yesterday saw us looking after a wedding at the Square Tower with Canapés, hot buffet & desserts and then toasted sandwiches for evening food.
This is the last of the Covid postponed weddings originally planned for August 2020. 😮

♻️We do so much here at Wright Choice Catering to keep things green and recycled.
♻️We have a Food waste bin, glass bin, paper and cardboard bin, plastic bin and because of all of these bins we only need a small general waste bin.
♻️We save all our bread bags & crisp bags and take these to the local supermarket to be recycled.
Milk bottle tops go to a local charity to help them raise money.
♻️Whenever we are at a job we take various boxes/ bins with us to separate things and minimize things going into landfill.
♻️This week we are talking another big step and replacing one of our diesel vans with an electric van 🚕
🙏I need your help 😊
Along with our new logo and name I want a add something to it to show its an electric van anyone got any good ideas, seen anything on another van?
Cant wait to introduce you to it when its sign written.

So many of you have asked about my tables cloths that I lost, they didn't come back unfortunately. 😞
This week I had another small disaster, a trolley with glasses got blown off a pavement and it didn't end well. On the bright side they were dirty glasses. 😂
There was lots to brighten my week though as i have had some wonderful emails form people saying how much they enjoyed what we have provided for them, have posted a few below. 😊
Had a super busy week and even been on my bike between 2 jobs that we had going on just round the corner from each other. 🚴🏽

‼️ Lost table cloths. BROWNIE Reward. ‼️
While scrolling through Facebook if anyone sees a post (maybe on one of the voice for type pages in Portsmouth) from someone saying they have picked up a red bag with 7 table cloths in. Please comment with my phone number 01329519397.
I stupidly put the bag on the roof of my van while loading in other stuff and then drove off with it still on the roof. 🤦♂️
They fell off on the road going out of Portsmouth between the naval base ( unicorn gate) and Sainsburys /Morrisons where the bill boards are, near cascades. This happens today Sunday 9th October at around 12.15pm.
A kind person called my number as it’s on my van and told me they had fallen off my van but also said someone stopped and picked them up and put them in their van.
Hopefully that person will see my number and call ? 🙏
If you are approached by someone selling 7 dirty table cloths be warned they have fallen off the back of a lorry. 😉
A reward of some brownie will be given if reunited with them. 😊

A busy week behind us and now and other ahead of us. 😊
Last week we had 2 Marquee Weddings, one with a backdrop of Titchfield Abbey and the other in a beautiful garden in Warsash. 💕
This week brings us a business meeting, awards night, canapés on HMS Warrior, 2 wakes with tea & coffee service, a Cold buffet for a Golden Wedding anniversary and a wedding in Tithe Barn. 😅

Haven't posted in a while so thought I would let you know what we have been up to last week 👨🍳
We were in the Great Barn in Titchfield during the week cooking a BBQ for 140 guests. 🍔
Then over the the New Forest to a place called Weddings in the Woods to do a buffet and hog roast. 😋
Plus lots of local deliveries of buffets for birthdays and anniversary's. 🎉

Duties to include:
Setting up and serving at functions/events.

Must be able to drive and over 21 years of age (for insurance purposes)
Own transport would be beneficial as our base is in a remote location with no public transport links. (South Boarhunt /Southwick)
