It may have been wet and cold, but I just love that Pia chose to walk through a walkway of her friends and family to meet Dhruve at the chapel doors, before they entered the chapel together. It was such a special moment and it just goes to show you can do whatever you like on your big day, as long as it works for you...there really are NO Rules!

It's New Year's Eve, so I want to wish everyone a very Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year!

My friends and family, my supplier friends, my team, the wonderful couples I have already helped co-ordinate their weddings and to all of my lovely couples I will be helping in 2025. You are all incredible and I am forever grateful for all of the trust and support you continue to show me. I am so excited for all of the fantastic weddings I have booked on the 'Tasha Mae 2025 Wedding Calendar', I just know it's going to be another fantastic year...bring it on!

This is a great idea which I have seen at a few of my weddings this year...Sip and Solve!

Personalise a crossword to you and let your guests fill in the answers for something to do during the drinks reception. If you want it to last through to the evening, then put it in a frame so the answers can be wiped off, ready for different guests to have a go later on...an ongoing piece of entertainment!

Shake your tambourines...it's Christmas next week!

So much fun adding your own musical instruments for your wedding guests to play (or bang!) in the evening 🪘

It may be Friday the 13th but let's take away the negativity and talk about being lucky instead of unlucky today!

Did you know that the rhyme, 'Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue and a Sixpence in your Shoe' dates back to 19th-century and describes the items a bride should have on her wedding day. The belief was that if the bride carries each of these items as she walks down the aisle, she will enjoy a successful and happy marriage and will have the ingredients to ward off the evil eye, which were thought to cause infertility.

I love that Anna had this 'Lucky Sixpence' on her special day ❤

Have you thought about having bubbles instead of confetti?

If you have, then bottles of bubbles for your guests are great, but I would definitely recommend getting a couple of bubble machines to go either side of your aisle, to give a more impactful bubble shot. Top tip is to position them under a couple of your guests chairs that won't mind switching them on when the time is right!

My team mean the world to me, so I wanted to dedicate a post just to them and shout about how fantastic they all are!

A BIG THANK YOU to all of you that have helped me this year...JAN, SAM, ELLIE, HAYLEY, MADI, KEATS & TASH ❤ I am so grateful for everything you have done for me and my couples, you are all FABULOUS 🙏

You all work so hard helping me to make sure all the jobs are done. From pouring and serving reception drinks, to lighting candles, clearing glasses, moving furniture, clearing plates, setting up evening food, cutting the cake up, checking the table set ups, putting place names out, pouring the toast drinks and even Ellie cooking the supplier's dinner at one wedding! Honestly the list goes on with the types of jobs my amazing team get up to on the day. I am so thankful to have you all on TEAM TASHA MAE and I can't wait to have you all join me at next year's weddings too ❤

My 2024 wedding season has now come to an end with my last wedding a few weeks ago and WOW what a 2024 wedding season I have had!

I am so thankful to all of my couples that booked me to help co-ordinate their wedding. Each and every wedding has been absolutely beautiful and all so different, which is what I love about co-ordinating DIY weddings ❤

Along my 2024 wedding journey I have been lucky enough to work with some incredible wedding suppliers. Some who I have worked with before and was really excited to work with again, and some who it was the first time, and I can't wait to work with again!

With 2024 drawing to a close, I want to say a big fat 'THANK YOU' to you all 🙏 Working as a team is so important to ensure the smooth running of a wedding and you have all been a dream to work with. I wish I could mention everyone and include a photo of you all, but this post would be extremely long and it would definitely go over the word count!

Here's to 2025 weddings where I hope I get to work with some of you again 🤞

How can Tasha Mae help?

Having been to many weddings, parties and social events Tasha Mae began to notice however well the host tried to disguise it they always appeared to be quite stressed. Understandably it is polite for the host to try and speak with all their guests, but at a big event there can be a lot of guests to get around! This of course can be time consuming and observations made it clear that this left little time for the host to ensure everything else was running smoothly. Naturally the host has invited all of their friends and family so there is no-one left for them to ask for help ‘on the day’. It seemed that hosting an event was a juggling act!

This triggered a ‘light bulb’ moment!

When organising your own wedding or event, generally speaking it tends to be in a venue without an on-site event co-ordinator. It might be in a barn, a mill, a marquee, village hall or even at home, nevertheless a venue where Tasha Mae can help you by co-ordinating your special event ‘on the day’. After all, you have done all the hard work so it is only fair you actually enjoy yourself!

From taking coats, to serving drinks & canapes on arrival, directing your guests, meeting with entertainers & caterers and even clearing up along the way, nothing is too much trouble for Tasha Mae!
