You are promised great beer, a great atmosphere and, above all else, great music from the local scene. Wowzers! What a festival! Thank you to all the bands, Cath and the staff at the Chequers and to each and every one of you, for coming along and supporting MinimaGig.

We raised £550 which will go towards the running costs of next years event which (will be) in a field! (We are doing everything we can to make it happen, trust us)

I know December is an expensive month but this is for an amazing cause. St Luke's hospice do an incredible job and deserve funding - more than I deserve a beard!!!!

ANNOUNCEMENT.

THINGAMAGIG 2017 IS HAPPENING but will look very different to the big outdoor event you have all come to know and love.

PLEASE READ..

We were planning a huge party in a field with extra stages/silent disco etc to celebrate with a bang, but circumstances have made this not possible. Partly due to a new arrival in the BSD family (a Big Stinky Pup if you will!!), partly due to work commitments but MOSTLY due to lack of funding to hold the event.

We are genuinely disappointed about this as it is our 10th year, but as you can probably guess it is very expensive to put on an event of this size and, although with more time we might have made it, the aforementioned Stinky Pup didn’t allow us to raise enough cash to cover it.

So here’s the plan:

On the 26th August we will be holding an event at THE BASSMENT in CHELMSFORD as a fundraiser for THINGAMAGIG 2018. This will be in the same format as Thingamagig i.e. two stages and as many bands as we can fit in to the time we have. Please support this event as this will have a huge impact on next year's event.

The aim is to raise as much as we can through events held throughout the year and then apply to the Arts Council for the extra to hold the MOTHER OF ALL THINGAMAGIGs in 2018....

p.s. The sound guys recorded all the sets on the Baked Bean Stage (main stage) . Yay! I know they have sent these out to some bands but if you did not receive it let me know and I will try and get it to you.
