My friend Steven Joyner in Georgia, U.S.A is having a tough time, and is trying to raise money to get a beloved feral cat that he looks out for to a vet over an injured paw. The vets require advance payment of $50 just to look at the cat, then have quoted him $700 dollars for treatment. My friend has compounded severe health issues plus ptsd, has been bypassed by the system, so has no money for treatment and is living in a tent in his sister's back garden. He uses whatever money he gets for food to feed his cats. His closest companions are the local feral cats. I think it's worth giving this cat a chance. please have a look at the page or share it. TY I am helping with this fundraiser and we are at the halfway mark so far.

Hi. I have joined the team to help get Mr Peabody en route to see a vet. There is a a pic of his injured paw on the page. I have been contacting various rescue centers in the Thomasville area of Georgia. But they are either not responding or are referring us to other agencies. The fundraiser is now not too far away from the goal of getting this cat to the vet to get immediate treatment. It's a difficult situation but this cat deserves as much of a chance as we give to our own beloved pets. Thank you for taking the time to consider any sort of donation. Currently, we are at the halfway mark. It all helps.Sharing helps too.

Thankyou to those who posted birthday messages and sent letters and cards. It was so thoughtful and I appreciated it a lot. I am always so happy as well to see when my friends lives are moving forward in positive ways and even when there are losses and disappointments I feel it too. But I cheer for the successes. I may not always be exactly right beside everyone but it makes the world more bearable knowing there are so many genuine people out there. I had a very quiet birthday doing things i like to do like shopping for fabric and materials to remake some of the things I've lost. I also bought a steam cleaner to address the finished floors. These cats fly around the place like the wicked witch of the west in a flurry of fluff and the steam cleaner will help keep it out of the corners. The last year was kind of a twilight year, this time last year I was in a hotel in Paddington, away from my cats. The hotels were like a makeshift hospital room. I'm glad to be with my cats now and still miss my others terribly. Animals so live in the now, not the past or the future, and I love that about them. I cleared away all my vines and am setting up my balcony for another year of a garden blitzkrieg. I love growing vegetable and vines and sunflowers. I am teaching Pluto about balcony boundaries every day. I wore a gold locket with a picture of my parents inside yesterday that I salvaged from the fire. They had a lot of adversity in their lives and they never let it change their character. I am still gradually replacing creative materials and machines. But it's all just stuff. Even the beautiful objects are just stuff. It's a strange thing to have everything in your life destroyed and be confronted with the fact that you are the sum total of your actions and not what you have. I still come home and think I am coming back to a burning flat. I still think about my cats every day. I intend to keep busy, keep painting, keep writing and try to have a bit more time and empathy for others who have been through trauma. Again, I am always happiest when I hear that your life is going in a positive direction. That's all there is to do here. thank you again for the messages. heather x

I would like to say Thank you to everyone who has liked and shared the post about Mistress Dometria. Following the very sad loss of Mistress Dometria There is now a crowdfunding link to help pay for her funeral and support her 3 children. It's really great to see people supporting this cause. It was a very untimely passing and this kind of support for her kids I am hoping will really help to take a little bit of the pressure off whilst they process such a difficult shock. Initially her children were reticent about setting up a crowdfunding for this and it saddened me they they thought that people might think ill of them because of it, which couldn't be further from the truth. I think it's important for members of the fe**sh community to continue to show a bit of solidarity in times like these, and the support has been really excellent so far. It's about a third of the way there. Dometria was a woman of many talents, having sung the backing vocals on Peter Perrett's albums during her teenage years.
