Exciting UK band The Hanging Stars will be appearing at Bedford Esquires on Thursday 15th May.

Channelling the sounds of The Byrds, Big Star and The Flying Burrito Brothers, as well as hints of Mojave 3 and The Allah Las, The Hanging Stars mainline the dying embers of the early 70s psychedelic folk and cosmic country scenes.

Hi folks, sorry it’s taken so long but I’m happy to report that the new album, Houdini And The Sucker Punch will be released on October 4th. It features the regular band Mick, Pete and Dave with an extra sprinkle of fairy dust provided by a few special guest musicians: Eric Heywood, James Walbourne, Jay Farrar, Mark Spencer, Laura Anstee and Peter Linnane.
We have some UK dates starting in September and are looking forward to seeing you then!

Not often I would recommend a gig at the Stables but on 27/10 a great double bill-Ryan Hamilton who makes terrific albums (signed to Little Stevens Wicked Cool Label) and the Warner Hodges band (Warren was a founding member of Jason & The Scorchers)

Ryans new record is is down for a Record Store Day release on Blue vinyl on 23rd April

Wow such sad news we had the Sadies at the Esquires a few years back. They were going to be touring Europe in 2022

Good, who co-founded the Sadies with his brother Travis, made his name as part of the alt-country scene of the early 2000s

Went passed the Gordon Arms/Ent Shed and was pleased to see the pub was open again

Very modern inside with great decor. I asked about the Music venue and the owner told me he hoped to open again with music in october.

Venue itself much smaller now can only fit 80 people and not really fit for a 4 piece rock band. But its modern and compact.

Downside is no speakers or pa system in place.

It might be worth going to see Sir Tom at the Cambridge Junction in September-£32.50 plus a friend goes free-all they have to do is show they bought a lottery ticket. Seems a bargain to me
