We were shocked and saddened to hear of the sudden passing of one of our former Sheffield students Christine Futter last month.

Christine joined Carney Academy as an original student back in September 2010 and wholeheartedly loved her acting, also becoming a member of the DGP at The Lantern Theatre.

Christine will be greatly missed by all those who had the privilege of meeting her and in true theatrical style her funeral will involve a horse drawn carriage with purple livery - a fitting tribute to a wonderful lady. The funeral will be held on Wednesday 15th May at 12 noon at Grenoside.

Our thoughts and well wishes are with Christine’s close family and friends ❤️
