We we’re supposed to be doing an overnight stay at Bournemouth yesterday but the place we booked double booked. So we made the decision to come back home last night.

A long drive to Durdle Door yesterday but so worth it!!! Absolutely breathtaking, I’ve wanted to come for a while and we managed it yesterday.

It was the perfect weather!!!

I drove most of the day there, I don’t usually drive outside of MK; but hubby insists that I should!!! My longest drive yet!!!

Then hubby took over and got us back home last night too.

A few pics from son’s birthday on Sunday, a 14 year old.

Pressies and cake at home and then went to Southend on sea for a day out; it was so lovely and calm.

For dinner he wanted Istanbul, so that’s what me and him had; so good.

The other’s went to a new takeout in town!! Didn’t think much of that!!

It’s the weekend, finally!! It’s been a long week!!
Chilling in the garden, now!!!
I do have some news to share with you all, as of June I went back to work full time. But as of yesterday, I’ve taken on a permanent role with an organisation.
So, now I’m an employee!!!
Hence, why things have been a bit quiet. I can’t do everything and I’m not going too, as I do t need too.
I absolutely love being a caterer, it’s my passion but unfortunately, it doesn’t pay the bills!!!
I’ll still be here for whenever you need me, but notice will be needed. For the past 2 & 1/2 years I’ve been doing both roles.
Here’s to the next chapter!!!

A lovely afternoon yesterday spent at ‘Art of the brick’ exhibition with hubby and the little. A bit of shopping and exploring Brick Lane.
We’ve never been this end of London, so it was nice exploring and enjoying some delicious food.
We don’t usually go out for curries in MK but I really wanted to try some in Brick Lane and it didn’t disappoint.
A weekend away from cooking and cleaning!!!

This was my daughter’s Biscoff Cheesecake that I made last weekend, for her birthday. It was so rich, 1000g of cream cheese went into that!!!
Lotus biscuit base, lotus flavoured cheesecake, then topped off with more lotus spread and then some crumbled biscuits on top.
This week has also been about cupcakes & cakes!!! Pics to follow.

It was my daughter’s birthday, yesterday.

Pressies, breakfast, late lunch at home and cake before going out for the evening.

Mini golf at Mr Mulligans and arcades, really enjoyed those activities and then went out for food and more dessert. They were very disappointing!!!

It was my babies last day at Primary School yesterday. It’s an end of an era, as I’ve had 3 kids go through that school (10 yrs)!!!

Thank you to everyone that supported the Carnival & me. It was lovely to see old & new clients.

Alhumdullilah, it was a complete sell out. It doesn’t matter how much I cook it’s never enough.

A big shout to hubby for being me (pta team), my boy and his friend helping me with the pots and washing up for me and again hubby helping me serve. My usual helper wasn’t around as she’s doing her DofE expedition Gold.

Been neglecting my garden the last month or so due to the weather!!! Last night I thought I’d give it a good clean, de-weed and repot some of my seeds, unfortunately not a lot have survived!!!
But I do have a nice clean garden now!!!

Yesterday, was a day of prepping for the week ahead and food for the weekend.
Roasted chickpeas - half I used for my hummus with caramelised onions, tahini and lots of herbs.
Roasted veg for my lunches during the week.
Salad
Then I cooked some Kheema mutter, taco filling and fried wings. This is for the weekend and I marinated some chicken for chicken sharwarma to be cooked today.
Took me 4-5 hours to do all that, cook, clean and all. of us have lunch together. A productive Saturday.
