There’s something about a single long table that changes the way people spend time together.

Food gets passed around, conversations cross over, strangers become less strange and for a few hours, there’s nowhere else anyone really needs to be.

It’s one of the things we love most about what we do. Of course, the food matters enormously. But the best food has always been about more than what’s on the plate. It gives people a reason to gather, and something to share once they’re there.

For years, we roamed. Across the country and further afeild,  wherever the brief took us.

Festivals, private estates, vineyard dinners, city venues, CRU is built on the ability to create something extraordinary, wherever we land. But Devon has always been home.

So when the chance came to take on a restaurant at Sandridge Barton Wines - Devon Vineyard , one of the county’s oldest and most pioneering vineyards, we didn’t hesitate, well at least not for long.

Roam is where CRU has found a permanent table alongside our events. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, surrounded by rolling hills and a working vineyard, it’s a restaurant that runs on the same philosophy as everything we do: exceptional food, served with the warmth of a dinner party you never want to leave.

Chefs travelling down from London, long dinners in the vines, menus that change with the seasons, it’s a place where our love of great events and our love of great food now share the same postcode.
