An amazing start to our wreath making season! I loved tonight's workshop, everyone was so lovely to chat too! We had such good fun and all your wreaths looked amazing!! I felt like a proud mum watching you all leave! 🌿✨

Talking of being a mum, I promised you all that I will definitely pack my hospital bag tomorrow, I really will!! 🤞🏼

The Christmas Wreath I made for Emma last year ❤️

We recently heard the devastating news of Emma's passing. We are so saddened and still in shock. We can't imagine a Rec Rooms visit without seeing her. We have loved working with Emma over the past couple years. She was always so warm and friendly, and so very supportive of our little floral venture. She brightened up the room, she always smiled & laughed with us & gave the most intentional hugs.  We always left our visits feeling a lot lighter and calmer for seeing her 🫶🏼

I know that she was excited to host the Christmas Wreath Workshops again this year, and after speaking with the manager at Rec Rooms, we can confirm that both workshops will be going ahead as planned 🌿🎄🥂

We know for many of you that have booked on who know Emma, that  it might feel an emotional evening, but hopefully we can make it extra special in loving memory of her! 

Our thoughts are with Emma's family and close friends, as they navigate their loss. We hope they find strength and comfort in the love of those around them at this sad time 🫶🏼 🤍

She will certainly be missed by Maevey & Me 🕊️

We love this time of year so much! The hot choc is flowing and the kitchen (I have no workshop at the moment) is filled with British grown Conifer, oranges drying in the oven and all kinds of Christmas wreath materials! I think the thought of having a Christmas baby is getting me in the mood even sooner this year!! ☺️🤍

I have a day off work today and feel so excited to spend the day in my own little wreath workshop world!! 🌿✨☕

Autumn is for drying those beautiful hydrangeas, if you have any in the garden!

These hydrangeas are from my mum's garden. They were alive whilst she was back in July, which makes them feel extra special to me. I plan to dry them and arrange them into a vase, so I have something in the house that I know she could see and appreciate before she passed away. Something that I can keep for a long time!

Did I ever tell you I love Nature! 🫶🏼

A few different tips to dry out if you want to join in:

🤍 Cut stems about 12-18inches long
🤍 Use sharp secateurs to cut
🤍 Remove leaves from stem
🤍 Remove brown petals (I like to leave them on)
🤍 Option 1, place in water 2-3 inches and leave to dry.
🤍 Option 2, hang upside down in a cool dark place.

I will be using option 1 as we are limited on space at the moment.

Tag us and show us what you create if you decide to try it out. I will share ours once we have found a big enough vase!! I may even make a wreath too! To be continued...

We are so overwhelmed (in a good way) by the number of messages we have received asking about Wreath Workshops already! 🌿

Yes!! We will be back at for our festive, cosy, fuzzy, Christmassy workshops! We absolutely loved them last year and it sounds like you did too, which is always so nice to hear! ☺️✨🥂

We have two dates planned so far:

Sunday 1st December 6.30 - 8.30pm
Thursday 5th December 7.30- 9.30pm

Tickets £50.. materials food and drinks included.

The bar will be open for extra wine or hot drinks just like last year too! 🥂🍰

Dearest gentle reader,

It appears that a diamond has already been chosen this season. Lady Shareesa Valentine of Denton-shire has emerged as the season's Diamond, quite naturally. As many in society will attest, the 13th of June was simply too long to wait. One can only speculate on what the Featheringtons will have to say about this scandalous turn of events. Polin must be outraged that the carriage scene did not accomplish its intended effect after all.

We're still here 👋🏽 ☺️

Maevey & I have missed you all, and we've really missed making & sharing our flowers with you the last few weeks.

We've been busy working on other projects & also sulking a bit too. We sowed 100s of seeds and the squirrels dug them out of the pots and ate them all. We also got a bit fed up of the rain ☔ and then fell down a deep dark admin hole, when we remembered what is actually involved in running a small business 🫠 send help!

Not all doom and gloom though, we did get a van recently, which was exciting, We don't have to do double trips for big workshops or weddings anymore. Maeve has a double seat to herself and loves riding up front! 🙌🏼

Wedding preparations are on the horizon too, I can't wait to get back to being creative, and sharing our designs with you! 🤍

One thing that has taken priority lately is the work we are doing with Evelyn Ecology on a Bio Diversity Net Gain. You can see one of our latest projects in our story. If you are a landowner/farmer anywhere in the UK or if you know any landowners who might be interested, please share our details and we can send more info. They can benefit financially from using their land for Bio Diversity and supporting nature recovery! You can see more at www.evelynecology.com

Hopefully, working in partnership with Evelyn Ecology will help us to pursue our long term goals in becoming more sustainable and allowing us to focus on British grown native flowers! So whilst we have missed flowering, it has been for a good cause🤞🏽🌳🌿

In the meantime, our next job is to work on sourcing British grown flowers! Will let you know what we discover🌷🌱

Thank you to all our lovely customers!! We are sold out and back home from the pop up shop! We can't thank you all enough for buying our flowers. Maevey and I are ready for a nice long walk in the sun 🙌🏼

White Anemones, also known as the Palestine Poppy! Native to the land of Palestine, a symbol of remembrance for all victims of war, and a commitment to peace 🫶🏼

These flowers will feature in our special Valentine's bouquet- along with other flowers in keeping with the flag colours 🇦🇪 There will be red Roses too for all you traditional romantics! ❤️

We will be popping up at in Stalybridge next Wednesday 14th February from 8.30am. We will have some smaller bouquets for £25 and larger bouquets for £45.

We will donate a % of each bouquet sold, to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), in support of their work in .

Thanks for keeping us busy, you lovely lot! Even in January!! 🤍🌿
