Tomorrows Active Adventure is all about night time and the night sky. We have lots of lovely stories to share , play doh aliens /planets to make, junk modelling our own rockets and building fun with the blocks.

We have lots of animal/farm themed stories to share including one of my favourites Moo Cow Kung foo Cow! Some farm small world play, animal crafts and games plus lots of favourite animal songs

Starting off with a favourite story this week - The Hungry Caterpillar. Lots of different craft activities, matching game, fuzzy felt fun and some building and threading activities - all caterpillar themed! Plus some other favourite bug themed stories - can't wait!

Christmas Elf Parties
I know it's early but I also know lots of you like to plan in advance!
From November we are offering a new party package - Christmas Elf party.
This is great for a special birthday party or for anyone who wants a special Christmas themed treat with their children.
Each child will receive their own cuddly elf to adopt and name . They will then decorate a house for them to live in, make some elf themed crafts and play some elf games with their new friend. £15 per child, minimum booking 4.
Dates fill up quickly from mid November to Christmas so please get in contact early to secure a date (£20 deposit required to secure chosen date)
As the kids go back to school we are getting lots of party enquiries this week and popular dates in my diary are starting to fill - if your child has a birthday coming up and you are looking to book a party please get in touch and I'll be happy to check available dates for you.
Remember small party packages start from just £50 including party bags (up to 10 children) £70 up to 15 , £95 up to 25.
Or we offer large parties up to 30 children, 1 hour of games/activities, not including party bags for just £70.
Jewellery Making Advent Calendar
Eco-friendly, recycled paper bead jewellery making advent calendar available to order (will be ready for collection beginning of November)

24 Kraft card pillow boxes with wooden number - each box has enough handmade recycled paper beads to make one bracelet - beads can be saved from one day and used with beads from another to make bigger items such as necklaces or bead garlands. 2 x 1 m elasticated bead jewellery making thread supplied with calendar to make chosen items.
Beads are handmade using recycled paper ( magazine pages, gift wrap, book pages, old maps, packaging etc) each bead is hand rolled and then lightly glazed. Each box has a unique set of beads inside.
Recommended for ages 7+ , perfect for older children and adults.

Craft parties
90 minute package of crafts activities - these can be based around a theme or a mix of preferred craft activities. Children typically make 3-4 items, £9 per child.
Alternatively we offer a mixed package of crafts and games starting with some simple craft activities followed by traditional party games. Includes party bags. £7 per child.
Children's party games package
Our most popular package a 60 minute package of traditional style party games. Party bags included.
Just £50 up to 10 children, £70 up to 15 , £95 up to 25.
We also offer a large party option of 60 minutes of games/activities for up to 30 children for £70 - this option does not include party bags (can add these for additional cost of required)
Jewellery Making Party
These are great for slightly older children (age 9+)
Children will have the opportunity to make several items of their choice - bracelets, necklace or rings using a selection of handmade eco friendly recycled paper beads and a mix of other beads. They will also be shown how to weave friendship bracelets and be given a kit to make these at home .
£20 per child for up to 4 children, £15 for additional children, maximum number 12. This includes a making kit for each child which they will use at the party and then take home any beads etc they don't use so they continue making at home.
Lego Parties
60 minutes of building fun and games. Mix of free build, building challenges, team builds and games.
Just £50 for up to 15 children or £75 for up to 25.
Delivered at home or venue of your choice.
Can add on 30 minutes of traditional party games to your Lego party for just £20.
Last day at Foleshill community centre for me this summer and we had a fantastic day making clay light up jars - this ones always popular with the children and the grown ups and it was fantastic to see so many families enjoying making them together. Lots of amazing creations today - here's just a few from the morning session - some houses and a brilliant light up triceratops!
Another fantastic day at Foleshill community centre - today we were potion making with some gloriously messy slime concoctions! This is not usually one of my favourite events as it can be very difficult to keep the mess contained and clean up but even I enjoyed it today because the kids absolutely loved it and i think their enjoyment rubbed off on me!
Another wonderful session this afternoon at Foleshill community centre with lots more fantastic mini world gardens - the little knitted gnomes were a huge hit which I can't take the credit for as my mum kindly knitted them all for the sessions so a big thank you to her. Managed to grab a few photos but there were many more wonderful gardens I didn't get chance to picture as it was a wonderfully busy session.

Foleshill Community Centre have a new trip which has come available to book now and we recommend not missing out on this one!
Join in with a whole host of fun games and activities at Rough Close Scout Campsite & Activity Centre on the outskirts of Coventry. Meet at Foleshill Community Centre, transport to the park, and have the opportunity to get outdoors combined with fun activities. There will the cave bus, pedal cars, archery, climbing walls, inflatables, face painting and games. The whole family is welcome to attend.

Active Adventures tomorrow and Friday at Coffee Tots 10.30-11.30 join me for some Dinosaur themed fun! We will be reading Harry and his Bucketful of Dinosaurs story and then playing with our own buckets of dinosaurs, plus some dinosaur magic painting and some more shaving foam fun this week with the dinosaurs.
Active Adventures tomorrow and Friday 10.30-11.30 - this week we are off to the seaside! We will be building brick sandcastles, exploring our own rockpools, sharing some pirate and beach themed stories, making pirate boats l, having fun scrubbing boats in our own boat washing station and sorting some pirate treasure!
Full day of parties today which was fantastic and I'm now fully booked for all weekends up until September!
Had a break from parties last weekend to make a Scarecrow with my children for the Allesley Festival Scarecrow - in true Activate style it's made entirely out of recycled junk - toilet roll tubes, screwed up newspaper, plastic wrap, paper mache and some scrap material . If anyone's looking for anything to do this weekend the trail is well worth a walk round as there are some much more fantastically made scarecrows out there!

This week's Active Adventures at Coffee Tots we are exploring the theme of People Who Help Us - we will be sharing lots of lovely stories, having fun in our own Vet Clinic and Doctor Surgery and enjoying small world play with emergency vehicles. Plus practising our sticking skills by making emergency service people and making our own police badges and walkie talkies to take home and continue the fun! Thursday and Friday 10.30-11.30 at Coffee Tots
Active Adventures tomorrow and Friday at Coffee Tots 10.30-11.30- to his week we are having fun pretend camping!
We will pack our rucksack with all our essentials and set up our own camp and share lots of favourite stories and songs around our campfire. We will also have fun making some of our camp items and playing some matching games seeing if we can spot some wild animals on our camp!
I've had a lots of enquiries past few days about the different party packages I offer so below is a brief overview of each package:
Children's party package - 60 minutes of games/activities - can be based on a theme if you wish. Traditional party games like pass the parcel, musical statues etc. Up to ten children £50, up to 15 £70, up to 25 £95 or up to 30 £125. Party bags included.
Craft party - 90 minutes , children make 3-4 different items based on a theme or crafts they enjoy ( e.g. decorating glass jars, bracelet making, 3D decopage letters, notebook decorating etc) Children make up their take home bag with all the items they've made. £9 per child.
Lego Parties - 60 minutes of construction challenges/games - up to 15 children £50 or up to 25 children £75. Party bags not included ( although can provide these for additional cost if required)
Jewellery making party - suitable for ages 9+. 1.5-2 hours - children make and take a variety of beaded bracelets, necklaces, rings and learn how to make friendship bracelets. Each child has their own making kit and can take any spare materials home at the end to make more jewellery. £20 per child up to 4, additional children £15 each. Minimum number 4, maximum number of children 10
Active Adventures in Coffee Tots this Thursday and Friday morning 10.30-11.30
We will be sharing lots of wonderful stories about Bees and Minibeasts, decorating little pots and planting our own seeds to grow some colourful flowers, some minibeast crafts and having our own minibeast hunt! Can't wait!
First weekend back doing parties since I stopped due to Covid and it felt so good to be back doing these! I had a great weekend of parties starting Friday with an Encanto themed party for two lovely 7 year olds and finishing today with a Frozen themed party for a wonderful 5 year old and lots of her friends- , I completely forgot to take any photos of party bags/ props / pinatas etc as I was too busy having fun so excuse the stock photo!
Lots more parties booked in the next few weeks, can't wait!
All set for some tiger and jungle themed fun at Active Adventures this week - Thursday and Friday morning from 10.30-11.30 at Coffee Tots.
We have some lovely Tiger stories to share, some jungle animal makes to make and then have fun playing with them in our animal den which we will build. Plus we will be setting up some jungle themed small world play - can't wait!
