Beats By Nick - The Story So Far...
Hi Guys,
First off I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit my page. I hope you enjoy my Facebook Live DJ sets and please share my page and sets with your friends and family.
I started DJing way back in 1998 where I played mainly Hard House & Trance music. Myself & a few friends ran a Sundissential pre-club night at The Old Wharf in Digbeth, giving UK clubbers a early evening head start on an all-nighter. One night I played a wicked set at Sundissential & the after party was at at the Birmingham superclub ‘AIR’ where I was asked by a promoter that heard my set earlier if I could take over from Lisa Lashes in the main room as she was ‘smashed on pills’ unfortunately for me I didn’t take him up the offer though as I was also feeling unwell at the time ;-) I look back now & think if I had done the set I may have gone on to be a globetrotting superclub DJ - But Hey Ho! I eventually stopped DJing & partying & settled down, got married and had a family.
In 2014 I started a Mobile DJ business and invested in lots of equipment & quite quickly my diary started to fill with Weddings & Birthday bookings where I would seamlessly mix & blend all the classic party tunes that we all know & love...However these nights soon became long & labotomos. Yes whilst it’s great for the guests to enjoy a night of ‘Rick Astley’ & ‘Sex on Fire’ but as the DJ you hear the same songs week in week out. After around two years on the mobile disco scene I got bored and decided to quit.
