But the Selection Panel have now announced the final nominees being considered for the first National Florist Day Faces of Floristry. There's over 200 on the list ... now they have to whittle it down further to reach the final 100 .. we don't envy them their job. Despite the quiet spell in weddings lately (our Wedding Season starts this Sunday with V&J!), there's been a whirlwind of activity behind the scenes. From multiple award nominations to reaching 10 years as a florist in 2024, and not forgetting our Mental Health Movement , it's been an incredible journey.

Though it's been strange without weddings for a few months, I couldn't be prouder of Olive Owl's achievements and ongoing growth. Reflecting on the past 6 years, I'm filled with pride for how far my little business has come and eagerly anticipate its future.

While I cherish weddings and the joy of creating dream florals for my couples, I'm equally proud to advocate for mental health through . It's a cause I'll keep championing tirelessly.

Heartfelt thanks to the amazing florists who've pledged their support and the wonderful individuals who've nominated me for & 100 Faces of Floristry for I'm truly grateful and humbled by your recognition. 🥰

On International Women's Day I placed 5 Free Bunches of Flowers in various locations within my local area.

The impact those Flowers had on everyone's day was more than I could ever expected, especially when it came to Michaela's Story.

Michaela found the Gathurst Station Bunch of Flowers, and I'm so glad that the universe brought us both to that moment.

Michaela had chosen to end her life that day but when she found the Flowers, they told her that she mattered and that she was safe.

I am beyond grateful that on that busy mothers day prep day, I chose to take time out of making Flower Orders and headed out with those Free Bunches.

Im in awe of Michaela's bravery and openess about this and since getting in touch with me, we are both keen to share this special story with others and encourage other Florists to get involed.

I had no idea the impact this simple gesture would make and I want to continue bringing happiness into people's lives through Flowers and a kind gesture.

I am calling out to all Florists to please, if you ever have a spare couple of stems left over, just to wrap them up, pop an 'adopt me' sign on them and send them out into the world - you never know how or who it can help ☀️

We're on the hunt for someone to help keep our Studio in tip top shape! Ideally for a College* or Uni Student as we are currently only offering 1 day a Week. This may change during Peak Wedding Season.

*We are based on Winstanley Road and have had multiple Students work for us in the past.

Please note that this is NOT a Floristry Job.

The main aim for this role is to ensure our Studio Space stays clean, clutter free and gives us space to stay organised during Wedding Season.

This is very exciting indeed!!!!

Our past Masterclasses have been so blooming marvellous, so we've decided to go a bit bigger this time!!

And by that we mean a full blown shoot, 10 ft columns, aisle meadow, tablescape, Models, an AMAZING venue, multiple Togs! It's all going on.

We've opened this Masterclass to Florists & Photographers.

Day 1 for the Florists & Day 2 for the Togs!

Incredible aisle meadow and archway made up of gorgeous peaches, orange and pink flowers with lots of green foliage to bring it altogether created by the wonderful Olive Owl Flowers. Moon Gate 🌙

We love a Moon Gate!!! Not only are they really versatile but they look ever so fabulous as a Ceremony Backdrop!

Gemma & Matt had a gorgeous array of Pink, Burgundy & Blue Asparagus Ferns with Hydrangeas, Roses, Lilacs & Thistles.

AND.... Matt even teared up when he saw it!!! Thats a first 🧡 We've had plenty of Brides tear up at our Flowers but never a Groom 🥺🤯🥰

Our Masterclasses are a chance to explore with unusual Colour Palettes (although I should point out that we do have lots of amazing Palettes with our Wedding Work 🙏)

For our Hanging Installation Masterclass, I chose a Spring Colour Scheme, and collectively the Students and I decided that Ombre Purple into Yellow, could be really fun!

I'm SO glad we went for it because the results are STUNNING 💜💛
