I was on that stage tonight 🤪. Great fun demonstrating to The Cotswold Flower Club how to make variety of spring arrangements. Had the best time and funniest of all I knew quite a few of them from the surgery.

Back in the day when I ran my own florist shop I hated Valentine’s Day. The wholesale prices inflated yet all the customers assumed the hike in price was me. Logistics were a nightmare. How many staff to draught in, how many roses to order, which varieties and how to promote the specially crafted handtieds that I’d designed. I needed a temporary extra delivery driver with enough local knowledge to deliver to a demographic of old houses without house numbers making it a longer more arduous task to find each recipient. It always rained or snowed. One time I was so tired I put petrol in my diesel van the night before valentines. Supermarkets sold their flowers as loss leaders, generally miserable looking poor quality bouquets often sitting out of water and not comparable to my creations. For the florist shop owners I agree with the sentiment below 😂😂😂

Saturday is pop up market day. Not only the best homebread lamb in the land but I am doing a bake off, cakes and bakes and sausage rolls! Tonight we have trialled riciarelli Italian biscuits and they are pretty good a bit like amaretti with a hint of lemon. I will have delicious homemade bread pudding, the famous cheddar biscuits from the gin night, lemon drizzle cake, hopefully white chocolate and raspberry tarts which are very popular and homemade mince pies. White chocolate blondies and regular chocolate brownies with a festive twist are also on the menu. HOT SAUSAGE ROLLS FROM 10am. Get them while their hot they are lovely. Meanwhile oscelot spleens are sold out. Sorry about that.
