What a day!

I saw some wonderful ladies who came to me many years ago - and they recognised me and were just so kind and lovely.

And I saw my gorgeous Lucy and her mum to collect the most beautiful dress and honestly, the kindness and support they showed me was so special to me.

Hanna found her dress with me and Dee did too!

I’m having the afternoon off now to get some planning done for my next adventure !

Let’s be real …..

There will be tears!

One of my gorgeous brides (a sister of a previous gorgeous bride) collected her dress yesterday. I was so good - until she was saying something lovely to me, and then I nearly cracked.

Flipping heck I’m emotional. I’ve packed so much of my house up, but there’s still so much to be done.

I love the store Sammie Lou Bridal. They have so much fun creating the most beautiful reels.

The owner didn’t drop out of the apple tree yesterday - she knows her stuff! She was an experienced seamstress to The Stars 🌟 before she went into bridal, and a well
Known and much loved light in bridal and west end circles.

I love the friendships I’ve made In bridal and value the experts and educators that are So willing to share their knowledge and expertise. Leanne is incredible and whether you are leading lady in a hit show or a bride wanting to feel like a superstar - you are in the very best of hands.

Tomorrow my Jamilla says I do, and starts her new life with her gorgeous groom.

It will be my last ever dress the bride moment - and I’m very honoured to be given this opportunity. I have loved Jamilla and her mum since the very first day I met them. It is such a special privilege for me to be with them right before Jamilla walks down the aisle.

Early start for me as I have a very busy Sunday ahead.

Only one Sunday left before I close my Manea bridal studio doors - forever ! 😱😱😱

So many beautiful gowns are ready go to their new home - at hugely discounted prices. 🥰

PLEASE NOTE. I can not offer alterations for gowns purchased in the sale - because I won’t be here. 😊.

I am however looking after my existing brides (pre move announcement) up until May 2025

This means I will be traveling back for 6 months to do alterations for my existing brides - BUT I will only be doing fittings on a Tuesday - NO exceptions (because it’s a 6 hour round trip). There will be 2 locations and I’ll let you know where they will take place.

I can recommend seamstress’s, but please note they are self employed and I have no influence on their charges or operating hours, they are completely independent.

I have always been super flexible and accommodating, but I can not make any exceptions for fitting days. They are set in stone, not moveable and only on Tuesday. I CAN NOT do late nights either, unless already agreed.

I am happy to recommend other seamstresses - but please understand that I do not make money on alterations - so I am honouring alts for customers before my move was decided - up
Until May 2025, (And a couple after then that I have agreed to because I want to see the bride through to the wedding day ).

I am sorry to be so rigid (it’s unlike me ) - But I am CLOSING and moving to another part of the country, so I’m doing alterations in 2025 up until MAY to ensure I don’t let anyone down, and give people time to find alternatives if they can’t do the Tuesdays that I offer.

I know you must be all sick of me by now - but there are sooooo many dresses in the sale and I close my doors in Manea on the 30th November, then I’m off “up north” before Xmas 🎄

Starting to stress now. I don’t know anyone there, I’m leaving my friends here -
I’m doing this for love, and whilst buried under packing boxes last night in my kitchen, the big question was, do I really love him this much ????

As I head into the final weeks / days of my little bridal business, the full enormity of moving so far away is finally dawning on me.

One of the most treasured memories I will take with me is meeting so many beautiful people, who didn’t just buy a wedding dress from me, but who have stayed in my life and feel like family.

I had dinner last night with my beautiful Naomi, who I met many many years ago when I first started and the love and support she has given me over the years, and the late night text conversations (0:00am) and “date nights” we have had mean the world to me.

And hopefully they will still continue, as I’m not planning on giving up our May and November dates and will definitely be back to share news, hear all about her adventures and wonderful family.

One of my most important pieces of jewellery came from Naomi - although it took me ages to work out who the anonymous sender was. The meaning behind it is so special and only someone who knows your heart could find the right way to give a gentle nod to something that is buried deep , but always there, even when never talked about.

So huge hugs and love to my darling Gnomi - seeing you become the most amazing woman who is loved by so many has been such a joy to me. I am so proud of you and all you have achieved and I can’t wait to see where your life takes you.

I have been very blessed on this little journey of mine - my business may not put me in the Sunday Times rich list - but the wealth I have can’t be counted in the bank, it’s in my heart.

Which obviously doesn’t pay the bills - so back to work, these beautiful dresses need brides!

Closing down SALE £400 for this beauty from MoriLee Ivory over Smokey lavender. Us16 Big shout out to Annette and Faye and Alex who have found their dresses with me today. I’m having an early finish today as the sun is shining and I’m going on a date night with my husband as he’s home on a Wednesday !!!! Have fun and enjoy the last of the summer sun (and the wine me thinks 🍷🍾🍾🥂)

I’m excited and sad all at once, as the decision to relocate and uproot our lives to be nearer my husband has been made. Big life changes are happening, and that means I need to start the farewell tour! All gowns are being reduced, but please don’t worry if you are an existing bride, I’ll be still taking care of you, all my commitments are going to be honoured, and dress arrivals and alterations are being taken care of you. I won’t be vanishing - just making exciting plans for next year. So don’t panic, business as usual, just winding down carefully and responsibly so by May next year I can start to focus on my new chapter. This means all gowns are ready to go, (orders still being taken for the foreseeable ). But time is marching on, and we won’t be around for ever. I’m not leaving bridal - it’s who I am at my core, but I am leaving the area and going up north! Lots to plan, lots to look forward to , but for now that means ….. SALE SALE SALE.
