Thanks to Visit Scotland for featuring the River Dee Damsels in their latest promotional video on flyfishing. Their camera crew captured us on a trip to Altries beat on the River Dee in a bid to encourage more people to give it a try. The wind made casting a bit difficult but as always we had a lot of fun. Ladies Come and Try Day, April 2024 🎣🎣🎣 Conditions were tricky but the ladies were not deterred and had a fabulous day learning how to fly fish. This years chosen charity was Haemochromatosis UK in memory of Miranda McHardy a true stalwart of the River Dee. Special thanks to TwinPeakes Fly Fishing The River Dee and ALL the volunteers who come together to make this day such a success every year and Banchory Fishings for giving us access to the beat. Looking forward to welcoming our new recruits back on the river soon.

We have had an incredible 2 days of fishing at Balmoral estate. Thankyou to the damsels who supported the Coronation fundraiser on Monday raising £500 for the River Dee Trust and to all of our anglers who enjoyed fishing in beautiful sunshine on Tuesday. One salmon lost and just two trout caught but just because we didn't strike silver it didn't dampen our spirits. What a privilege to get access to the fishing over the Coronation weekend and I can think of no better way to spend a day than with the loveliest ladies in the most beautiful surroundings. Thankyou as always to Balmoral estate fishing for the support and our ghillies David and Don for their patience! The River Dee FishDee FishPal
