🥰 Personal highlights = hard to choose from so many but introducing Andi and Miquita Oliver to salmon fishing was a very special day indeed!

It was the perfect chance for some of our more experienced anglers to introduce themselves to the beginners on the Damsels day on Saturday. Fishing brings such fabulous social opportunities for all ages and it is a pleasure to watch our community flourish and connect

Thanks to Visit Scotland for featuring the River Dee Damsels in their latest promotional video on flyfishing. Their camera crew captured us on a trip to Altries beat on the River Dee in a bid to encourage more people to give it a try. The wind made casting a bit difficult but as always we had a lot of fun. Huge thanks to ghillie John Fyfe at Crathes castle for taking the time to explain fishing tactics and do some casting demos for the recent damsels' Read the River event. A brilliant way to get the girls prepped for our next fishing adventures 🎣

Ladies Come and Try Day, April 2024 🎣🎣🎣 Conditions were tricky but the ladies were not deterred and had a fabulous day learning how to fly fish. This years chosen charity was Haemochromatosis UK in memory of Miranda McHardy a true stalwart of the River Dee. Special thanks to TwinPeakes Fly Fishing The River Dee and ALL the volunteers who come together to make this day such a success every year and Banchory Fishings for giving us access to the beat. Looking forward to welcoming our new recruits back on the river soon.
