Very rarely I get the set up shots at a wedding, we're all usually way to busy to stop and are normally against the clock. Seeing these lovely shots by of me doing my thing made me realise I need to start investing a little more time and money into social media... I find it bloody hard though! Kids... elderly parents and side hustles don't always leave much brain space to then sit in front of a screen. Anyone else have these daily battles?

At least the sun has made an appearance today...smiles all round I'd say.

Sometimes you just gotta work the styling around the chairs!

What I loved about Kat & Briony's wedding was they spent there budget where they thought most important. Yeah sometimes village hall chairs are ugly but hey...how can you make them part of your styling. By incorporating the colours into flowers, other accessories and oatmeal cloths instead of the usual white, they don't stand out like a sore thumb!

The humble school chairs... seen so many bums and has so many stories to tell 😳 😆

The humble village hall.

Keeping me in business since 2014!

There's alot to be said for the humble village hall. Cheap to hire... giving to the community... more coins to spend on a stylist that can help create a wedding that is you. Don't over look having your wedding in a village hall, I've decked out some pretty beautiful ones in the last 10 years... I've also had to hide some pretty hideous notice boards! All in all its amazing what you can do with some of these quirky spaces.

Waking up at 7am this morning wasn't exactly what I had planned for a weekend lay in. I did wake up smiling though, with the sun beaming through my curtains... finally feels like spring is here!

So on my morning scroll I noticed that had tagged me into one of her recent wedding's which had been inspired by one of our styled shoots. Its a lovely feeling knowing that we can inspire couples to step outside of the box and be creative.

Anybody else getting a bit desperate for spring?

I definitely am!

As much as I love putting on big jumpers and wrapping up warm, I really hate how grey and dismal everything looks at this time of year. But the signs of spring are about and I can't wait for those bursts of colour to start appearing, giving me the much need boost of enthusiasm I need.

How are you dressing your table this Christmas?

Why not try dragging out your grannies old curtains! Forage some greenery and dried bits on a walk and add a few candles. Christmas tables don't have to be all red and gold you know.... be imaginative... recycle and reuse the things you already have.

The word Sustainable is thrown around alot these days so what it is that makes a business or product Sustainable?

Whether you are a photographer that is cutting back on travel and keeping it local. To a florist that grows their own blooms. Sustainability is about making those changes and Being conscious about what we use and how it effects our environment.

Think twice about what it is that you are buying and where it has come from...how far it came to get here and if you actually need it? Can you walk...get the bus or train or keep it local. Can you borrow or hire instead of buying?

I like most others am just trying to do my bit. Its not always possible to buy second hand or not use the car, but we can try our best to be less wasteful... reuse... recycle... grow our own... the list is endless.

Stop... Think!

Be Green... be sustainable.

Sustainability gets thrown around quite alot these days but its not a word to just use its a word to put into practice.

Its my goal to try and be as sustainable as I possibly can not just at work but at home to. Educating my children the importance of recycling and thinking about what we consume and how we can reduce waste.

I have always loved old things so reusing and buying second hand isn't an issue for me. I often find that the old stuff is a million times better and more interesting than the tat you find in the shops these days. With a bit of clever styling you can even make your grannies old chintzy pots look fresh again!

Hello. Here's me buying a plant!
