We are looking forward to being back in Darlington next week,
Lots of sand art pictures, badge making & glitter tattoos with a seaside theme

☀️Darlington by the Sea returns!

Slap on the sun cream and dig out your bucket and spade – the beach is coming to town as Darlington by the Sea returns next week!

Join us for five days of sun (hopefully), sand and fun from Wednesday 24 July to Sunday 28 July.

Each day from 11am until 5pm families can enjoy free sandcastle building, activities, entertainment and fun and games.

Thanks to sponsors Arriva North East and JT Atkinson Builders Merchant for helping with the play sand which will be redistributed to our playgrounds after the event.

If you are coming along please wear sunscreen and hat and bring a bottle of water.

We are excited to attend the Liquorice Festival on Sunday

Lots of free activities

Pontefract Liquorice Festival is back this Sunday – and what a sweet treat it is! Get ready for a confectionary-themed bonanza celebrating Pontefract’s historic link with liquorice.

Enjoy the stage entertainment from community acts and top local talent, and watch out for the walkabout entertainment – can you spot Lucy Liquorice? Bringing the whole family? Kids will love the all-new kids’ zone on Cornmarket featuring exciting workshops, face painting, crafts and even the Arriva Castleford Tigers Bus!

Make sure you stick around for the HARIBO-themed parade which will take place at 11:30am and 2:30pm in Corn Market. There will also be another performance at 1:30pm at Pontefract Castle.
