Dried flower lampshade workshops are now live!
I’ve been talking about doing this workshop for over a year, so much so that other florists have been doing them! Share the love I say 🫶🥰
This summer I will have some even more creative workshops I can’t wait to see what you all create ❤️
A little touch of colour correction was in order for a bouquet that arrived a little in need of TLC. Sometimes flowers don’t press as well as I’d have hoped, but seeing as orchids are the hardest (in my opinion) to press, I was delighted with how these came out 🫶🙌

It’s actually how I started Preserved Petals, I did this to help others grieving processes, because I really care, not for the money. If anything, I was and still am under charging for memorial pieces, because I don’t believe there should be a big price tag on a loved ones passing.

This Easter holidays on Tuesday the 11th of April we will be hosting a morning 10.30am and afternoon 2pm workshop for you and your little ones to create something nature inspired together, at our new workshop.
For older children (8+) you can create and decorate your own bunny made from dried flowers and enjoy for years to come hanging on their bedroom door or wall decor 🐰
For younger siblings and little ones, they can decorate their own bunny and egg cards with pressed flowers.
Each child will go home with some chocolate goodies, their own creation AND every child will have the opportunity to get their hands dirty by sowing their own plant into soil, to take home, nurture and watch bloom 🐣💐
We have a large outdoor area with plenty to play with if they decide to take a break (hopefully the weather plays nice!)

TOP TIP: hold your bouquet stems and turn it upside down when you wrap it 😊 this will clear any loose stems and prevents damage to the flowers. These pieces deserve a bit of a story.. so here goes.. when @alixjtippett and her partner came to me with their beloved nans funeral flowers, we talked through all of the options of keepsakes (it’s important to see the flowers and their sizes and volume, to know which molds will suit them best). Once they’d decided, everyone in their family wanted a little something made too. Each piece was completely unique, no same pattern or design, each person gets something beautifully tangible and my hope is that these pieces help people with their grieving. It’s such a taboo, nobody really talks about it, I guess it’s not exactly a positive conversation to have but they are very important conversations that SHOULD be had. I know from experience, and we all do, that when we loose someone it’s unexplainable pain, a pain that doesn’t shift, just gets easier to bare in time. It’s ok not to be ok. It’s more ok to say you need some time. Because the world carry’s on, everyone else gets on with their lives, but for a moment yours stops and feels like it slows down.
