Last week we designed, crafted and built a replica of the Golden Lion pub on the Cunard ship for their conference which took place in Southampton.
Matt, working with the team, led by Nicola, was able to create a bespoke replica impression of the pub, to give their audience a flavour of what it's like onboard.
Utilising 3D modelling software we were able to show our client what the stand would look like with people in it, as well as producing technical drawings to ensure the dimensions fitted the space perfectly.
Congrats to the team on a 24 hour build in our workshop and half a day to install it, it looks fantastic!

We hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did. It’s lovely to see the hard work of many hands coming together to make such a buzzing and vibrant event.

We have a new addition! Please give a warm welcome Taine, our brand new Event Operations and Hire Co-ordinator to the Tarren team.
Taine is joining the team from a logistics background, and has worked as one of our crew members onsite at several events over the past year. He's already been getting stuck into Tarren life, joining us in the midst of a busy summer of furniture hire and events. So far, so good!

Chris has more than a decade of Marketing experience across a range of sectors including fashion, luxury construction, sport, renewable energy and SaaS. We were delighted to be a part of Cheltenham Jazz festival 2022, after nearly 3 years away due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We were even more excited as this year was the festival's 25th Anniversary.
Tarren managed the site build for the event, along with creating many of the festival's signature landmarks, such as the giant JAZZ letters below, which featured in many photos from visitors over the week.
We also provided crew, furniture (Event Furniture by Tarren) technical advancing and artist liaison services.

⭐️ Introducing our New Recruits ⭐️
It’s been a busy few months to be a member of and for that reason we’ve made a few additions to the team.
⭐️ Sara joined the team earlier in the year and has been responsible for managing our flagship Christmas events, as well as our busy summer of work. You may already met Sara on site at Cheltenham Music Festival, Valley Festival or Cheltenham Literature Festival.
⭐️ Anya joined the team in August as our in-house Scenic Designer. As well as being a design whizz (we can’t wait to show you what she’s been working on) Anya also loves to get hands on in our Workshop to bring her designs to life.
⭐️ Some of your may recognise Brogan, who has been working within the team as a Crew member on some of our biggest events for the past three years. Brogan now joins us as our Bars and Catering Coordinator as we roll out our bar, catering and staff offerings to local businesses and festivals, as well as our own events.
⭐️ Olivia joined us in September, and works alongside our Marketing Manager, Lauren, to develop and promote our events and brands.
⭐️ Another familiar face - Harry joined the team this month, after having worked as a Crew member for us regularly over the past two years. Harry helps to build and deliver our events as part of our Workshop team, as well as offering Front of House services on site.

Pivoting an Events Business in Lockdown
1 year of Lockdown It’s been over 365 days since we were plunged into lockdown and our normal event season disappeared rapidly. We’ve always said when the going gets tough, Tarren gets going, and the last year has challenged us to find what we do best, and to use and develop these skills as best we can within the circumstances presented to us. It may not have been what we have planned at the beginning of 2020, but we made it work. From developing 2 brand new light trail experiences, to producing outdoor furniture for local hospitality businesses, helping festivals to go hybrid, and developing our new Crew and Styling services, we have proved how versatile our team and business is. We look forward to continuing with these new services whilst our regular projects begin to return.
