A great day today at the FACE Glasgow January Jam - A chance to get together with friends old and new for chat, cake, laughs and some painting fun. Thanks to Bonnie and Gadsya for agreeing to be my models for a couple of quick demos, and especially to the lovely Linda for organising it all.

Last Breakfast with Santa of the season finished at the fabulous Mill and Brae hotel. It has been great fun bringing the magic of Christmas to loads of families. Thanks to Colin and the team and not forgetting Scott Cuthbertson- Scotland's Magician and the wonderful Stephanie Wilson.

Giving my brushes a deep clean in the ultra-sonic cleaner after my weekend gigs. Even though they are washed with hot soapy water after every job it is amazing how much paint can build up deep in the bristles.

Well! - It was such a busy Summer with so many great parties and events, I am just getting round to sorting out the pictures I took. I had a great time with my fab team of painty friends doing work for Glasgow Life at their Summer of Fun in sports centers all around the city. Just a few here from folks who were kind enough to give permission to publish pics.

A really kind message from one of my parties last weekend. It is lovely to get recognition for the work we do.
Just wanted to message and say a massive thank you for Sunday. The face painting was unbelievable, honestly the best I’ve ever seen. You were the talk of the party and the children absolutely loved them! The magic show was also so great!! The children were so engaged and had the best time, Isla really enjoyed getting up and participating. Everything ran so smoothly and both your manner with the children was fantastic.

I’ve been to a lot of weddings over the years, and the one thing that zaps the fun is an over-scheduled day. If there are certain traditions that don’t mean anything to you…ditch them! Instead make more time for fun, partying and magic.

Traditionally, I get booked to do close-up magic during the drinks reception, but I can perform throughout the day. Maybe you hate the idea of doing a speech, but you want some entertainment between dinner courses? I can perform on stage for all your guests to get them cheering, hollering and ready to boogie (no one will even notice you skipped the speeches!)

Whether or not you are having a magician at your celebration, let’s make 2024 the year weddings become about the individual, not about the traditions. It’s your wedding, so do it your way.
