vative designs with flowers. Love-tobegreen is based on the outskirts of Newton Abbot a busy market town in a lovely part of England, South Devon. Working as experienced florists, we are passionate about being as eco-friendly with our designs as possible. Here at our floral design studio, we strive to practice the following eco-chic criteria:



We support local businesses and craft workers
We enjoy reviving local traditions/cultures
We compost all plant waste
We keep chemicals to a minimum using natural alternatives wherever possible
We use freshly cut flowers and foliage from various local growers, private estates and our own gardens as much as we can
We Strive to Reduce/Reuse and Recycle products

As mentioned in previous posts I now only teach Floristry as privately booked sessions.
I am now teaching small group craft workshops.Floral Crafts and all things beautifully handmade. We will be re using, re cycling , up cycling and more. This will add to the enjoyment in knowing we are doing our tiny bit in being kinder to our planet as well as reviving past crafts.🌏

Sorry for the lack of sharing my posts with you recently. I have been busy teaching after returning from my Easter break away, also preparing the Love to be Green Garden for Summer Floristry tuition and now I am fortunate enough to be having another holiday break.

1 to 1 FLORISTRY TRAINING
As mentioned in my post yesterday, I had the pleasure of teaching June recently who created 5 x Long Low Table arrangements for her Granddaughters Wedding at Rockbeare Manor, Exeter, Devon. In fact the wedding is taking place today.
☺️Many Congratulations to the Bride and Groom 🎉💐🍾
So here are a few photos taken of June creating these beautiful floral arrangements, something special for her Granddaughter to see at a later date.
Unfortunately the weather was appalling so no photos were taken in the Love to be Green Garden.🌧💨🌧

All Eucalyptus sourced from local plantation @ Beulah Eucalyptus. in Bovey Tracey, Newton Abbot and flowers sourced from local suppliers.

Sorry for lack of posts recently.
I have been very fortunate to have taken a lovely early break this Easter 🐣 and have visited once again a beautiful village nestled in the Cotswolds, Bourton on the Water.
I was back again teaching my 1 to 1 Floristry sessions yesterday.
I had the pleasure of teaching June who created 5 x Long Low Table arrangements for her Granddaughters Wedding tomorrow at Rockbeare Manor, Exeter, Devon.

As a beginner in the subject, Sue was introduced to techniques in the construction of a layered Presentation Bouquet and also a Natural Tied Sheaf, suitable for a farewell floral tribute. Almost all foliage was cut from the Love to be Green gardens, a few steps away from the studio.
Environmental / Eco friendly

The Flat Layered Hand Tied Bouquet of mixed beautiful fresh flowers is a perfect choice for those who like to arrange their own flowers.
This is Sue's first experience in these topics. She mastered the techniques for both designs well and loved her finished designs too!

Look 👀 at these beautiful designs from a workshop I held last year in March.
Although the mechanics for this design was bio florist foam, I am experimenting now with moss from the garden and twine. Results to be posted here shortly.
Incorporated in the designs 🌏- canes and foliage cut fresh from the Love to be Green garden, locally sourced flowers and upcycled bead bunches for berry texture..
