So … this was yesterday (15.6.24)
Hannah and Will had dreamt of holding their summer wedding ceremony by the fountain in the glorious gardens of Elmhay Park … but with the terrible ‘summer’ we’ve been having, lots of rain and chilly winds, the prospect didn’t look promising.
However, during the morning there was a window of promise as the rain eased off slightly, so Hannah made the determined decision to go-for-it and thankfully the risk paid off.
We set up gorgeous meadow-style florals around the fountain as a backdrop to the ceremony, lined the aisle chairs with meadow arrangements and left with our fingers crossed!
According to my calculations at the time of the ceremony the bride and groom would have been blessed with sunshine and I hope to hear from Hannah to find out if wedding dreams really can come true 🤍

• Winter Wedding Wishes •

Happy wedding anniversary wishes going out to the lovely Corinna and Sam, celebrating 10 years of wedded bliss today!

Today is very much like their special day as I recall, a bit damp, drizzly and grey …. but with beautiful wintry foliage, white roses and candlelight in the ancient church of St Mary in Whaddon (near Hilperton, Wiltshire) it was warm, welcoming and oh-so romantic.

Remembering this gorgeous wedding on a bright, crisp and very chilly, very windy December day!

It was an absolute joy to decorate the 18th century, Grade II listed, deconsecrated and restored church for Laura and Neil’s wedding. I love the photo I took of Laura walking backwards to the church fighting against the wind! Check out her warm and comfy boots!

The hand-fasting ceremony and reception were held in this lovely church building and with panoramic views over Glastonbury Tor and a winding village road approach with pollarded willow trees it was absolutely idyllic!

The lovely Lauren and Louis were married on Saturday on the most glorious winter day.
With a layering of crispy white frost in the surrounding fields, sunshine and a clear bright blue sky, after their ceremony at Mells Church, the happy couple were able to walk through the picturesque village to their magical reception at the Tythe Barn.
All-in-all a pretty perfect winter’s tale.

We are currently celebrating the beautiful roses we use in our wedding work, of which the Sweet Avalanche is probably my personal favourite with it’s delicate soft pink tones.
The bridal bouquet is the most important piece we design and create and we want it to be perfect … sometimes elegant simplicity is all that’s required and then we let the flowers do the talking!

The very lovely Erin and Harley were married at St John’s church in Frome on a fabulously hot and sunny day in late August, with the reception being held at Elmhay Park.

Our lovely ivory drapes with flower and greenery posies frame the Italian Garden ceremony area beautifully and set the scene for an elegant yet relaxed vibe.

Traditional green and white ... it’s a stunning colour combo any time of year, with fresh pure whites in Spring and Summer, or warm beautiful ivory and creams in Winter (seen here).
It can be simple and elegant, or greened up with lots of foliage for a more relaxed, rustic or boho theme 💚

• Size matters! •

Wedding table centrepieces can be a bit of a headache ... too tall and they may obstruct guests’ view as they dine, too small and they just aren’t big enough to make an impact in the venue!

Table urns (or footed compote bowls) do a great job of elevating the florals without being too high. They suit all types of themes from classic to something a little more relaxed.

The Lily Locket have silver or gold to complement most colour schemes!
