WEDMIN * With the kids back to school, this week has been all about catching up on all my wedding-related admin, so if you've made an enquiry (thank you ☺️) or if you're one of my couples waiting for a reply, thank you for your patience and I'm working my way through everything. January for me is about putting everything in place ready for some exciting events as well as weddings and vow renewals.

If you'd like to have a chat about what a game-changer a celebrant ceremony is I will be attending The Mowbray and Friends Winter Love Weekend on 25th/26th January in Sheffield. It is being held across all three of their gorgeous venues The Chimney House The Mowbray

I'll be posting more about this event soon.

In March, on Sunday 16th Hodsock Priory has also invited me to attend their Wedding Showcase as a trusted supplier.

I am well and truly looking forward to spreading the joy of being a celebrant!

CHEERS & HAPPY NEW YEAR * My final post of 2024 and it must be the biggest thank you to everyone I have worked with in the last 12 months.

Firstly, I raise a glass to my couples who have all been an absolute pleasure to get to know and collaborate with. Without you I wouldn't get to put on a frock, a face full of make up and share in your special day whilst aiming to make you and your friends and family laugh and cry happy tears. You are all awesome.

Secondly, tchin-tchin to every supplier I have had the joy of working alongside. You are all absolutely incredible at what you do and watching you at work reminds me how fabulous the wedding industry can be. Also to those of you who recommend me I am eternally grateful.

Thirdly (I said yesterday this would be an Oscars-style speech!) bottoms up to my friends and family who support me, love me and generally celebrate my highs and bolster me during the lows.

THAT'S A WRAP * I have been woeful at posting on social media this year but I like to think it's because ultimately it's more important that I'm working hard behind the scenes crafting and performing epic ceremonies.
So to (sort of) make up for it here are some of my wonderful couples who I have had the privilege of working with this year. Apologies if you didn't make it on, I wasn't able to grab a selfie with you all.
I'll leave my Oscar speech of thank you's until tomorrow but, as always, I hope everyone can see how much I love my job.

BOOKED! A RESTORATION MASTERPIECE * Sister to Sheffield's The Mowbray and The Chimney House, I am thrilled to say I have a couple of bookings already for the newly opened the first being in February!
Originally built in 1884 Victoria's renovation has been a labour of love and it shows. Every little detail has been thought through responsibly and sustainably.
I am so excited to perform my first wedding ceremony there for K&J in a few weeks and get a feel for the incredible spaces it offers.
Sheffield really does have the most incredible venues.
I love my job.

KIND WORDS * As we head towards the end of the year and with just one wedding left to go, I am starting to feel emotional!
The role of a celebrant is about building relationships as well as writing and performing epic ceremonies and I am so very lucky to be able to work with wonderful couples, like Ellie and Danny, alongside fabulous suppliers who are not only consummate professionals but also a right good laugh.
Thanks E&D for letting me into your world and helping you celebrate with your family and friends.
I always seem to repeat the same things but I'll say them again - having a celebrant is a game changer for your wedding and I love my job.

BOOKED! LAKE DISTRICT LOVELINESS * Yes, I do travel! And boy is this worth the miles! Set in secluded and luscious grounds with a woodland, babbling brook and awesome views over the Lorton Fells, Low Hall The Lakes is the venue of choice for one of my Sheffield couples next Summer.
I love my job.

MARY STREET MAGIC * Claire and Craig chose as their all-day venue for their epic wedding celebrations and boy, did it look amazing!
Incredible florals from softened the gorgeous brickwork, they included little touches like personalised mirrors and the cutest Lego figures of themselves plus they got to transform the front windows.
I also got to work with one of my faves - I can't wait to see her images from the day!

GUEST FEEDBACK * Can you imagine my insane level of happiness when this popped into my messages following Lena and Stefan's ceremony at Kelham Island Museum last month.
Reviews make such a difference in helping other couples choose their suppliers, including celebrants. SURPRISE! I'M BACK * I know, I know, you never even noticed I'd been gone but this wholesome photo of my kids on a tractor is me coming back to these little squares.
So, with a Summer full of weddings I have yet to reminisce about (just you wait!) I may actually be quite busy on here.

BOOKED! CEREMONY WITH A VIEW * I am so lucky to live on the edge of the Peak District. It allows me the perfect blend of city and countryside weddings. I have recently been booked to perform a ceremony next year at the beautiful a 4 star boutique hotel with glorious views overlooking Win Hill. My couple have lots of wonderful memories and connections to this area so it's going to be super special.

SUPPLIER SHOUT OUT * A long overdue word about this one here - Laura aka
Laura has made up the faces of many a bride of mine (and they always look bloody gorgeous) so when I saw she offered makeup tutorials I jumped at the chance to put myself in the hands of an expert.
As someone who, quite frankly, has never had a clue, Laura talked me through what she was using and why and got me to have a go too. She also dug through my existing makeup bag and used some of those products too so I didn't have to go out and spend a fortune.
I can honestly say I had the best time. Laura is so easy to get on with, we laughed far too much and best of all she made me fall back in love with red lipstick.

RAINING CONFETTI * You can never, I repeat never, have too much confetti! I can't wait to see the professional photographs by of this moment. If you are wanting a confetti moment then I always give your guests a tip - throw underarm and throw high. That makes for the best 'shower' of paper or petal wonderfulness.
