BOOKED! LAKE DISTRICT LOVELINESS * Yes, I do travel! And boy is this worth the miles! Set in secluded and luscious grounds with a woodland, babbling brook and awesome views over the Lorton Fells, Low Hall The Lakes is the venue of choice for one of my Sheffield couples next Summer.
I love my job.

MARY STREET MAGIC * Claire and Craig chose as their all-day venue for their epic wedding celebrations and boy, did it look amazing!
Incredible florals from softened the gorgeous brickwork, they included little touches like personalised mirrors and the cutest Lego figures of themselves plus they got to transform the front windows.
I also got to work with one of my faves - I can't wait to see her images from the day!

GUEST FEEDBACK * Can you imagine my insane level of happiness when this popped into my messages following Lena and Stefan's ceremony at Kelham Island Museum last month.
Reviews make such a difference in helping other couples choose their suppliers, including celebrants. Yes, I'm very lucky to have fantastic immediate feedback from guests, who seek me out after the ceremony and obviously testimonials from my gorgeous couples BUT a huge thank you to who took the time to find me on Insta and share her feelings. SURPRISE! I'M BACK * I know, I know, you never even noticed I'd been gone but this wholesome photo of my kids on a tractor is me coming back to these little squares.
So, with a Summer full of weddings I have yet to reminisce about (just you wait!) I may actually be quite busy on here.

BOOKED! CEREMONY WITH A VIEW * I am so lucky to live on the edge of the Peak District. It allows me the perfect blend of city and countryside weddings. I have recently been booked to perform a ceremony next year at the beautiful a 4 star boutique hotel with glorious views overlooking Win Hill. My couple have lots of wonderful memories and connections to this area so it's going to be super special.

SUPPLIER SHOUT OUT * A long overdue word about this one here - Laura aka
Laura has made up the faces of many a bride of mine (and they always look bloody gorgeous) so when I saw she offered makeup tutorials I jumped at the chance to put myself in the hands of an expert.
As someone who, quite frankly, has never had a clue, Laura talked me through what she was using and why and got me to have a go too. She also dug through my existing makeup bag and used some of those products too so I didn't have to go out and spend a fortune.
I can honestly say I had the best time. Laura is so easy to get on with, we laughed far too much and best of all she made me fall back in love with red lipstick.

RAINING CONFETTI * You can never, I repeat never, have too much confetti! I can't wait to see the professional photographs by of this moment. If you are wanting a confetti moment then I always give your guests a tip - throw underarm and throw high. That makes for the best 'shower' of paper or petal wonderfulness.

SPRING CELEBRATIONS * Well, what can I say about Lucy and Ross' big day on Thursday? It was awesome! The most wonderful couple who celebrated with their family and friends who had travelled from all over the world to attend.
Held at .priory in Nottinghamshire it was a ceremony full of humour and heartfelt. The team at Hodsock always do an incredible job the bouquets and floral display for the ceremony was created by the talented Karon of and music was provided by the lovely husband and wife team
It was truly a Spring sensation!

CELEBRATING WOMEN * Today is International Women's Day so I'm shouting out to all of you in my life who this represents.
To my friends who have celebrated and been silly with me but also challenged me and picked me up when times have been tough. I hope I have or can do the same for you - you are everything to me ❤️
To my supplier friends who make the wedding industry such a fun place to be. We are strong, independent business women who are often juggling so much and yet we continue to push forward to be the best we can be and offer the most incredible service and support to our couples.
Let's keep holding each other up and giving ourselves the space to talk openly and honestly as well as share laughter and our wins.
I feel so lucky and grateful to be surrounded by so many inspiring women.

WEDDING SUPPLIER COMMUNITY * Today I'd like to celebrate the amazing community that is the wedding industry and give a shout out to fellow supplier and friend The Village Green Events Co. who very kindly provided me with a glittering array of mirror balls to help jazz up my stand at my last two wedding fairs.

So many businesses in the industry are independent and women-owned which is awesome and I am so very proud that as a collective we aim to support each other.

Started by Claire in 2015, The Village Green Events Co. offer help with planning as well as design, styling and installation for your special day (or other events). Each proposal is bespoke and you have to go check out their work because they are incredible at what they do! They transform a space!

I am also grateful to Claire and Laura for their design expertise with my stand at the Un-Wedding Fair in Sheffield - I couldn't have done it without you ladies 🤩❤️

BOOKED! A WELSH WONDER * I am super excited to be performing a ceremony and acting as MC at the amazing in September.
Located in mid-Wales it is described as a 'farmyard idyll full of quirky spaces where DIY wedding dreams are encouraged to come true.' I know E&M have lots of incredible ideas to make it a day to remember and I can't wait to see it all come together for them.

ISABELLE & SAM * Friday the 13th gets a bad rap but I'm here to tell you these two not only chose that date for their wedding day but also booked an ice cream van to dish out treats on their autumnal day in October.
The amazing Isabelle Biggs Photography is a wedding photographer so she absolutely knew what she wanted for their big day and brought together a stellar supplier line up to deliver it. Another example of a couple choosing to plan a wedding that reflects them not what tradition dictates it should be.

FLEETING MOMENTS * I absolutely adore this photo taken by the fabulous of E&N leaving the Underbank Schoolroom where I performed their ceremony last Summer.
The couple had taken a few minutes to themselves while the confetti throw was organised and headed out the door to the rousing sound of
Your wedding can be exciting, emotional, overwhelming and full of joy (which is actually quite exhausting!) so it's important to build little moments into your day for just the two of you, however fleeting. It is, after all, your day, no-one elses ❤️

DIY MAGIC* Emily & Nik showed how magical a DIY wedding can be - although a lot of hard work! They transformed Underbank Schoolroom, which is surrounded by the most glorious countryside views, into a relaxed yet stunning venue for their special day. Emily's vision came to life with seating areas, a bar, gorgeous florals by @honourfarmfolk and the incredible Backstage Brass who provided music throughout the afternoon, including a surprise song as N&E walked back down the aisle. One to remember. I can't wait to see the professional photos by the incredible Helena Dolby I love my job.

TIFFANY & TOBY* Oh, these two are the CUTEST! Laughter, tears and references to Disney, Star Wars and Twilight sums up their ceremony at The Chimney House . Their promises (well, Toby's was more of an essay!) created such a moment and I am so grateful I got to tell their story. I barely took any photos but how cute are the personalised tissue boxes! It was an intimate ceremony, so every single guest had their name on a box. A great idea too as the tissues were definitely needed!

BEL & BRAD * So much love for these two who fell in love in a ski resort and who absolutely embrace life and all the adventures it brings. Bel & Brad celebrated their wedding day with their family and friends at the incredible @foxtailbarnsvenue in Staffordshire. My first time performing a ceremony there and I can thoroughly recommend the venue's team and @uniqueyourwedding who made the room look stunning. My couples and their weddings so far this year have each been spectacular and I can't wait to take you on my journey as we head into Summer. Just you wait...

Thursdays wedding with Tania & Daniel's was joyful. Held at Hodsock Priory which has the ability to look and feel incredible whatever the season, it is an example of how booking experienced suppliers pays off. T&D live in New South Wales, Australia and organised everything remotely. Tania is originally from Indonesia, Daniel from the UK but they met and fell in love down under. They chose a selection of suppliers who have worked at the venue and who are able to adapt to every situation. Their ceremony was full of love and laughter and was followed later by a traditional Indonesian tea ceremony. So many gorgeous details and nods to their home country including a selection of Australian snacks (thanks for the Tim Tams!). STYLE AT STYAL * What a stylish yet totally joyful wedding Naomi and Nate had at the gorgeous @styallodge in Cheshire. Naomi's daughter Missy read the most beautiful words that had most of us trying not to cry and they had amazing singers from Gospel Touch Gospel Choir who performed before and after the ceremony, as well as doing a special performance of This Little Light of Mine after Missy's reading. I loved they also hired an ice cream van to dish out the good stuff to keep everyone cool in the blazing sunshine. What a day. I love my job.

HAPPY! * Sophie and Matt's big day at @parkfarmweddings in June was so full of joy. Their ceremony was full of personalisation, ending with @heavybeatbrassband appearing to lead them from the beautiful wooded ceremony area and off to drinks and more celebrations with their guests. Every part of their day had been thought through and was personal to them, even down to Sophie having sourced Liberty print fabric to be used as the table runners. A HOUSE LIKE A HOME * Hayley and Scott had their ceremony at The Chimney House last weekend, and it was my second visit in two days. How lucky am I! They wanted an intimate and relaxed ceremony with their two young children and their family and friends and that is exactly what they got in an intimate and relaxed venue. FEELING THE LOVE * Reflecting on Saturday's wedding and the feeling of love and joy that spread from the industrial space that is Sheffield's Peddler Warehouse I absolutely loved telling Hal & Helen's story and what was so powerful was how much their families and friends embraced it. I have never been so popular after a ceremony! So many positive comments, including the holy grail of feedback: "It sounded like you'd known them for years". As I was heading out to my car, Hal's mum even chased after me to say thank you. Now this isn't about me bigging myself up (well okay, maybe a little) but it is about demonstrating the impact of a celebrant led ceremony. YOU CAN'T STOP ME SINGING * I always get to the venue (today it was the mighty @thehiddenhivetipis) at least an hour before a wedding ceremony begins so I had the pleasure of listening to @stephensmatthew do his sound check. He may not have appreciated me singing along to many of the tunes, but I had a ball. This is what booking a celebrant is all about. Working alongside other suppliers, helping out to move things where needed, and then delivering a corker of a ceremony! I do love my job.

I’m Helen Jubb, and I conduct weddings, civil partnerships, funerals, vow renewals and naming ceremonies across the UK.

My ceremonies are personal, unique, and beautiful events. Individually crafted to celebrate a life - a new one, two souls coming together or a life lived. Let me tell your story with humour, compassion and most of all a smile.

From South Yorkshire…to Berkshire

I currently live in Sheffield, so am happy to travel across Yorkshire and Derbyshire. I spent the first half of my life in Berkshire, so with family and friends still living there I am happy to stay with them or travel further afield - I do love an adventure!

About Me

It's funny how life takes many twists and turns - but you usually end up right where you should be. Whether you believe that to be fate, chance or completely of your own making, it is important to embrace new challenges and do something that makes you happy.

I have been extraordinarily lucky to have enjoyed a full and varied life so far. Working as a journalist for ten years afforded me the honour and privilege of interviewing hundreds of people, many who had experienced tragedy and those who were elated following heroic achievements. Realising my strengths, and indeed passion, lay in building relationships, listening and helping others, I swapped journalism for a career in teaching and pastoral care in Further and Higher Education.

What led me to become a celebrant?

I came to this exciting decision after choosing to have a celebrant conduct the ceremony for my own wedding to my now-husband Ian. Working with her, we constructed the most beautiful and memorable service we could have wished for. The wonderful comments we received from our friends and family, won over by the personal nature of our ceremony, resonated with me and I couldn't stop thinking about helping others to celebrate their lives or relationships.

My ceremonies are personal and inclusive: they can be intimate, reflective, moving and special occasions, which are based on your story and your ideas about love and commitment. It can be completely non-religious, have elements of faith or rituals such as handfasting.

Being a celebrant is a hugely important part of my life – I get to work creatively with you to create a day that is truly about you and for you. I can adapt to your needs and wishes whilst making suggestions if required.
