Yesterday was an incredibly fun but long job. I had the privilege of painting for Away Resorts at Tattershall Lakes for their Rock the Lake event held this weekend. 8 hours of almost non stop painting, with one or two glitter tattoos thrown in for good measure, but only one photo to show for it. Hoping we'll be back there for future events over the summer.

Hello 🖐🏻 I'm Abbie the owner and founder of the New Sensory Mill at Grove Mill In Retford.

Having struggled myself as a mum with a child with additional needs to find anywhere suitable and inclusive for our family to play and enjoy...
I started my journey to create and provide a space that everyone can enjoy.

The Sensory Mill with its own Changing Places UK is a multi-sensory centre that encourages users to explore their senses.

With areas that provide stimuli for users with mental and physical impairments, developmental delays and/ or physical disabilities we hope you also find it a welcoming space to enjoy.

Please like and share our page where we will keep you updated on the build and opening announcements.

After today's Easter Fair at The Elms Hotel, we only have two large planters left and it would be such a shame for them to go to waste. Therefore, if you would like one as a last minute gift or Easter table decoration, please let me know and I'll drop it round this evening. Now £20 for the Old Country Roses and £15 for the Pyrex. All proceeds to Cameron's Borneo expedition fundraising pot.

My son Cameron has signed up to go on a trip of a lifetime; to Borneo for the month of July.

Whilst there he will be involved in a variety of projects. These projects are designed to make a significant and lasting impact on the region’s most critical issues. Projects typically focus on:
Village improvement works to improve the facilities of the rapidly growing community of Bongkud.
Habitat conservation involving activities to help safeguard this wildlife paradise for future generations by helping to tackle deforestation that has resulted in the native orangutans now being classed as endangered.
Ecotourism and recycling initiatives.

Part of his experience is to fund-raise his expedition costs and although he has done well so far, there is still a way to go to reach the £4580 target. Which is where you come in. We would be so grateful if you would consider sponsoring him. Please see the original post to find out more about his next fundraising activity and how to donate. Many thanks, Keri, PrimaParty.

Happy Good Friday! Cameron is now in full swing of getting ready for his Chesterfield Canal walk, and we are looking for more sponsors.

On Friday 12th, Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th April, Cameron (supported by either myself or his dad for each leg) will be walking all 46 miles of the Cuckoo Tow Path that runs along side the canal. Starting in Chesterfield, the walk will take him through Kiveton, Worksop, Retford and finishing in West Stockwith.

It's a long walk, so we really want to drum up as much support as we can. Which is why we are offering businesses the opportunity to become Official Sponsors. Each business or organisation that has donated before the walk, will have their logo put onto Cameron's walk t-shirt, with promotional photographs being taken along the way. Retford Life has kindly offered to follow Cameron's fundraising progress over the next few months so we will be listing all Official Sponsors in our next feature.

And don't worry if you're not a business, individuals can also sponsor him.

To make a donation, you can either contact us for his bank details, use my PayPal account ([email protected] ref: Chesterfield) or scan the QR code to go to his GoFundMe page where you can make your payment (This will be shared in a separate post and pinned to the top of the page).

Thank you in advance for your support!

** We've only had two entries by the closing date, and both had offered to donate to someone else/with younger children. Therefore, I shall extend the competition until I collect the tree again on Monday and hope that we have some more entries over the weekend.**

So it's competition time. If you look closely at the Christmas tree we have put up at St Swithuns, you'll spot a little Elf. And that poor little Elf needs a name and a new home. Submit your suggestion below and like and share the post, to be in with a chance of winning the Elf, who will be delivered to your door by one of our characters on Dec 1st. Closing date for entries is the 30th November and the winning name will be picked using a random generator.

24/11/2023

So excited to have finally done a tree at the fabulous St Swithuns Christmas Tree Festival. The festival runs from tomorrow until the 2nd Dec. There are 70 trees on display from local organisations, charities and small businesses like PrimaParty and they are all well worth going along to see to start you off on your Chrsitmas journey. Check out the PrimaTree to see a little competition I'll be running until the 30th.

If you have no plans tonight, and you dont want to take your kids to see the fireworks, then you really cant do any better than coming to watch this talented group of young people perform excerpts from everyones favourite old and new musicals.

You might even recognise some of them, as 6 of the past alumni have worked for PrimaParty at one time or another.

I would absolutely love it if you would all come and watch my son Cameron, aka Dewey Finn, next weekend at The Majestic. He is performing on Friday night (7.30) and Saturday matinee (1.30). His involvement in musical theatre is one of the reasons I made the decision to stop the hire side of the business and I am so proud of how far he has come in the past year. Tickets.are available in the Bix.office every day from 10 till 2 or online via the Majestic website.

And as an added incentive, if you send me / share and tag PrimaParty in a photo of you and or your family at the show, you'll receive a 10% discount off your next booking!

Our Story

In 2010 I hosted my first ever children’s party. It was my son’s 4th birthday and we had a Robin Hood theme for him (seeing as we live near Sherwood Forest and it seemed like a fun idea). We had themed decorations, loads of activities and even a party banquet. everyone dressed up including my husband who was the Sheriff. On the back of that, and as I was about to be made redundant, it was suggested that I should do it for a living and as they say, the rest is history. We now provide a wide range of children's party entertainment - from generic disco’s to fully themed parties, bouncy castle and soft play hire, balloon modelling, circus skills, character mascots including princesses and superheroes and face & body painting for any celebration event or family fun day. I have a fantastic team supporting me deliver all of these services and cannot wait to see what the future brings us.
