*Warning long read…*
This has been a super hard post to write, and I’ve been putting it off for absolute months!! Just so hard to let go…
I photographed my first wedding back in the summer of 2006 and my last in April 2022. I’ve photographed the special day of hundreds of the most incredible, kind and lovely people, every single one with their very own unique and beautiful love story.
And so I fully immersed myself in that love filled world of weddings for over 16 years, working hard and absolutely loving it.
I had the chance to photograph at some of the UK’s most beautiful venues, and with some of the industry’s absolute best wedding suppliers, some of which have become great friends! I also had spectacular opportunities to capture a handful of stunning destination weddings abroad too, so lucky!
It does make me smile so much to think of how many photographs I took are hanging in peoples homes. I will be forever grateful that these beautiful people chose me to capture their special moments.
At my peak I was photographing about 35-40 weddings a year, it was crazy but I just thrived on it. However since having my boys in 2017 & 2020 I’ve slowed to enjoy more family time together, and it came to a point where I wanted to choose more of a work life balance.
So I feel that now is the right to stop Wedding Photography, I’ve not retired from being a photographer at all, but rather pivoted towards family and portraits. These have run alongside the weddings for years now, and when I welcomed my boys it just felt like the most natural progression for me.
I’ve worked hard and grown my family client base for a few of years now, along with some of my absolute favourite and most loyal wedding couples in there too, the time is now right to focus fully on Rebecca Family Photography, which also allows me more time with my boys.
You can now find me here… please come say hi!
