Thank you to everyone who took time to wish me happy birthday yesterday, whether by FB, text, WhatsApp or a good old fashioned birthday card. I was blown away by the number of you who remembered, I didn't know I knew so many people!!

I had a great birthday weekend compering the main stage at Beardy Folk Festival with the highlights being bringing the amazing Kate Rusby on stage at Beardy Folk Festival as well as many friends.

Thank you to everyone who came to our gig with Jacob & Drinkwater and Detta Kenzie last night in Harwell Village Hall. We had people from as far afield as Guildford, Omskirk, London, Brighton and Washington DC!

It was a brilliant evening and I think the artists were somewhat overwhelmed with the warmth and volume of applause.

Well, what a way to finish our 2023 programme of events in Harwell Village Hall - this was our third sell out show out of the 5 gigs we put on.

Craig Joiner Music played a blinding set to open the evening and got a fantastic applause when he finished. Rusty Shackle were immense as always and had everyone seat dancing from the off.

A huge thank you to everyone who has come to a gig in Harwell this year, especially the audience last night who were certainly the loudest singers and most participatory of the year. We hope that you all enjoyed yourselves, Vanessa and I certainly did!!

Lastly these shows couldn't happen without Bradley Bowers from BCB Media and Simon Jury who do our sound, Nicole Chappell who helps out on the bar and of course my wonderful wife Vanessa who does all the catering and runs the bar - so a huge thank you to you all.

We look forward to seeing you all again next year.
