Upcycling 🖌

Keep it simple and use some 'stuff' you might have lying around to create personal details such as:

- Twine ball - String or ribbon with craft glue around a balloon then put it and adorn with lights?!

- Wrapped Candles - Being careful for fire risks, wrap a candle with decorative fresh foliage and ribbon, the bigger the candle the better!

- DIY Lamps - Using LED not real candles, turn glasses into table lamps with small lampshades.

- Glittering - Attack some old jars with glue and glitter to add some special DIY sparkle to your tables or other areas needing some TLC.

Thanks Carlisle ICU ❤️‍🩹

The other night my Sister and I were invited to a special night created by Carlisle ICU nurses for families who have lost someone on their ward in the last year.

What a lovely idea and special event. Yes I cried in the cathedral but it was a special feeling to be in such a glorious place with others that are going through such tough times. We glammed up, me with Mothers favourite hat and Katie with her favourite boots. She would have loved that! 💋

Thank you ❤️‍🩹

Losing my Mum still hurts so very much and often doesn’t feel real. I miss her more than words could describe but am thankful for all the support and love around me. 💓💞

Back from a glorious weekend away with friends. Much needed escapism!

Ate and drank tons, walked and painted, chilled and laughed… perfect.

We all need some time away. We need to spend time being ourselves, not boss/mum/wife. Remember who we are and have some brain space.

PERSONALLY SPEAKING
14 years!!! 🙌🏻💖

My hubby and I have survived 14 years of marriage, 2 kids, many house moves, moving County, and all the other ups and downs.

Our wedding was a glorious mixture of laughs and love. We had and have an amazing bunch of people supporting and partying with us. It was a r**t good knees up at 🏩 The weather was warm in the sun, which shone all day, then chilly at night to help with the post dancefloor cool down!! I remember the food, the speeches (even the shocking one!!!), the laughs, the dancing.

Marriage isn’t just an easy ride. You don’t find ‘your lobster’ and then it’s simple. It’s a changing beast, it’s teamwork, it’s constant comms and learning.

I love you 💫 Thanks for riding the rollercoaster with me and making it always interesting, bonkers and filled with love…and tons of laughs thrown in.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ❤️‍🩹
Dearest Mummy

Usually at this time of year my Sister and I would be delighting my Mother with treats and giggles (and plenty of vino!). We were planning taking her to France for a seafood festival… some things aren’t meant to be and that’s ok.

It’s not great, sometimes not even ok, but we go on with love and new adventures ❤️‍🩹

Tomorrow, 6th Oct is her birthday and we will feel loss but love for the person who filled our hearts so warmly but now makes it ache.

We have been chilling, reminiscing and laughing. It’s lovely spending some dedicated time to be mindful of this event and how different it feels now.

WEDDING WEEKEND
Birthday to Marriage 💝

Friday, after supper, Ashley & Sean surprised guests with a ‘thanks for coming to the birthday party and next is a wedding!’. You should have seen the jaws drop! Audible gasps turned to tears and screams of joy! 🥳

The next day was ceremony followed by chips and music. What a hoot! Especially when the place is full of professional actors and musicians 🤩

Thanks for having me along for the ride guys! What an awesome time I had doing my thing. All went swimmingly 🤘🏻
