The end of the year was epic with an autumnal flourish out at Just look at the colours, even the food went with the season! 🥰

The couple adore the place, having a host of families memories there, so it was a dream location. The views, the house, the colours, the atmosphere... this place was fab.

If you are wondering, there is a Billiards Room building in the garden which is registered for ceremonies and can seat 60 guests. Then in the house are an array of rooms plus a huge hall to hold an informal celebration with a super cosy atmosphere.

WBA manage all the weddings at this unique spot so if you want to know more, not just about wedding events but birthdays, styled shoots etc, then drop us a line!

WEDDING ADVICE
Get that deposit paid! 💸

Most expensive = high priority ✅
These big ticket items are taking the most dosh therefore they should be for the right supplier. If something is costing you a lot, you need to make sure that spend is worth it. Pick carefully and keep to your budget. Be honest and confident with your supplier, setting the scene for them in terms of budget allowance and full wedding design.

These items are usually:
- Venue (and/or marquee / tent)
- Catering
- Drinks
- Band
- Photo / Video
- Planner / Coordinator (aka us!!) 😎

You are creating your 'Wedding Tree'! We call the venue your 'trunk' and then these our 'big branches'. Try not to fret about the 'twigs' at the moment as you can't make a lot of decisions until these bad boys are sorted.

BUT your priorities might be completely different. Have you outlined what's most important to your celebration? Do that first! The rest will follow eventually but it would be pants to miss out on the key thing you're so keen on.

To feel beautiful....💖

Whether getting your hair styled, nails polished, fancy pair of shoes, cracking tweed suit, morning facial...
If you and your 'wedding team' feel comfortable and confident you will get the most from your day.

We have seen many a glorious outfit and hours spent on expensive styling but it all is a waste if you don't feel fabulous. If you can focus on what's going to make you feel brilliant, inside and out, it will make not just the day flow well but the memories of it feel glorious too.

We have also seen Bridesmaids take over in the morning because they aren't feeling great. It can be disguised with questions about the 'what's' and 'where's' but we know its them trying to find control and comfort down the line as they don't feel quite right in that moment.
Perhaps think about what will make them feel good, not just about how the photos will look. Shining smiles look more impactful and more memorable than matching dresses. If you want both and can get both, brilliant! But if you can't, assess your expectations and standards and ask yourself about what truly matters.

All we suggest is for you to be considerate and mindful about your beauty and styling so you make the most of it all. 💖

Face it, they just don't get it. They love the party, yes, knee slides on the dancefloor and cake.

Do they get the sentiment? Do they what to chat and catch up on life? Do they want to sit still and let the speeches roll smoothly? Do they understand what's going on?!

BARN IN THE FELLS
Sarah & James 💐

This year we have had the pleasure of being part of a huge array of glorious celebrations and many of them were in this fab place!

With a HUGE very traditional, rustic barn this place is a short walk from Ambleside or Rydal Water. The fells surround the venue giving each view drama, especially when the Cumbrian weather gets moody! Two bars, a Guest House, Ceremony room, beautiful yard, tons of space and a friendly team... spot on. 🤩

Sarah & James fully utilised the space and got to enjoy a wonderful weekend with us. Just look at those colours! Beautiful next to the untouched stone walls. Thanks to everyone on the team who helped make this brilliant for such a lovely couple:

DECEMBER
A wonderful time of year! 🎄

As we all prepare for the festivities, remember the important things...

Who - Why is it important to relish the time you have with each person who crosses your path at this time of year? Because we all need connection. As the days shorten and weather turns a little less enticing, connect with people positively whenever you can.

Where - Make your home a place of recharge and comfort. Invite in those who make it an even nicer place to be. If you can't then have another safe place to retreat to, whether that's a family home or friends house.

When - Have you put aside some time for yourself in amongst the social gatherings and tasks lists? Have you allocated time with those who could really do with seeing you? Manage your energy as well as your time, focusing on keeping the balance.

If you start to feel overwhelmed, burn out lingers at the door, reach out. We can help you regain focus and ground you. We can bring some light and laughs into your world if that's what's needed.

Wedding Websites, we adore them! 📲

Your invites no longer need to be the size of a book! Just event details and a website address or even QR code is great!
With these bad boys you don't have to enter a million guest details in a RSVP sheet and it asks them all the right questions for you.
You can populate them with as much info as you like and keep it updated throughout planning.
Most of them are free or very cheap to set up.
You can download the list to hand simply over to your caterer or stationer for their final steps.

TIP: Every time a guest asks you a question, add it to a FAQ page on the website so you don't have to repeat yourself!
