Following the birds last post, the girls were busy preparing for an action packed week full of funny stories and travel tales but…………. the funniest thing that happened to them was playing pick up sticks with the blasted cocktail sticks that fell, unceremoniously, out of the cupboard 😲😩🫣. Instead what they did was to kick back and switch off, well apart from a bit of paperwork - apparently the team need paying and rotas need to be prepared 🤭🤣
Until today that is🫣🫣
As we are sure some of you will know, the birds can often be found ‘flying by the seat of their pants’ and today was no exception. They had chosen an early flight to enable them to be back in the UK for a catering function only to be delayed on the way to the airport!!!!!!!!! Who knew that the police would set up a ‘sting’ operation on the road to the airport 🚨🚨🚨. As luck would have it (or not depending on your outlook) the birds did not suffer the indignity of a full body search but they certainly did get held up for quite some time ⏳⏳⏳⏳⏳ Now the birds will often arrive at the airport with only a couple of hours (if that) to spare as they only ever carry hand luggage, but today it was not meant to be 😲😲😲😲😲. They missed boarding by just 5 minutes 🫣🫣🫣🫣🫣
Oops 🤭🤭🤭🤭
Luckily Hummingbirds consists of an amazing team who are continuing to hold the fort 😁😁😁
Meanwhile, the birds, have had to find alternative flights home ✈️✈️✈️
Will they make it? Watch this space………….

48 hrs after arriving in the Big Apple the birds are back in the UK - well for the next few hours anyway 🤭🤭
Spur of the moment adventures are always so much fun and the birds crammed so much in during their time in NYC 🗽 Oh and just in case you are wondering, The Chiefs took their first win of the season, much to Tracy’s delight 🏈

After what seems like a never ending few months of all things food related, the birds finally found themselves with a free weekend 🥳🥳. Faced with the question ‘what should we do?’ the birds decided to follow their passion for American Football and go watch a game 🏈 So they did a thing and booked last minute flights to New York for the weekend 🏈🇺🇸🗽

We are always delighted to have some amazing staff as part of our Hummingbird family but today was definitely a proud parent kind of day 😋
Olivia and Florence received their A level results this morning and we are delighted to say, that they have both achieved the grades they required to enable them to continue onto the next step of their journey through life.
Congratulations girls and enjoy the celebrations 🥳❤️

That’s it, it’s all over, the separation is final!!!!!!!! The Hummingbirds Tea Room now has its very own social media status 😉😉
Now please don’t think it was a painful break up, it had to be done, the tea room was just getting too big for its boots and needed the space to grow and flourish 🤭🤭 🫖🍰

Never ones to miss an opportunity, the birds are once again free to carry on their normal business. With tales of travel, food, catering and events you are in for a treat 😎🫣🤔😜.

So….

Back in January the Birds posted this on their main page. Being the busy Birds they are, not much else has been posted 😀
Tracy, Nicky and Rebekah are still very busy with all their outside catering events (ok ok trips to Spain too!!😉) and they will continue to update you all about their adventures on the main page. However…. You guys have missed so much from the Hummingbirds Tea Room! So here we are…. a new page just for the Tea Rooms.
Feel free to share the page with anyone you think will be interested.

Looking for somewhere to duck out of the rain? why not pop up to the Brackley care home summer fête on today until 4pm. Oh! Did we mention we have a pop up stall today so you can sample our wares ? We look forward to seeing you.

Alternatively you can visit the rest of the team at the Hummingbirds tearoom located in the Brackley Antique cellar open 10.30am till 4.00pm Monday to Sunday.

Hummingbirds

After a busy Christmas period we took a couple of weeks in January to unwind before embarking upon an exhilarating 2019.

We have already taken numerous bookings for private functions including Birthday Celebrations and Wedding Anniversary's in addition to our monthly events.

The first of our monthly events takes place at the very beginning of March (Friday 1st March) where we start the 1st of 4 evenings this year celebrating the British Isles.
