Honoured to be among some other wonderful local florists in the finals of @muddyglosworcs awards! Thank you sooo much for everyone who nominated Daisy Belle and has since then voted.
I just wanted to remind you all that voting is still open until Thursday - so I'd be so grateful for your vote if you haven't already and think we are worthy winners. If you nominated us initially, the votes for the final have been reset so please do vote for the finals.
Thank you lovely people!

I don't make as many wreaths as I used to, as I mostly help you guys make your own now through workshops or wreath kits! But when I do make them, they might look a little like this... Full of texture, scents and lusciousness!

Yesterday I worked on a beautiful intimate wedding at Burleigh Court, where Regina and Barry had travelled to tie the knot with a few of their closest family and friends. I thought I'd take you along with me to give you a glimpse of what an elopement wedding can look like from a florist's point of view. My first (and hopefully not too cringe!) voiceover 😬!

A few weeks back, we created a very special farewell tribute for one of our customer's much loved father.
A garden style arrangement with specially selected flowers which all held a significant meaning with the gentleman and his family. We even managed to include some lily of the valley from the family's garden.
The garden arch was lined with jasmine and clematis, feeding through to the meadow base including bluebells, forget-me-nots and roses, not forgetting the arum lilies which were particularly symbolic for the family.
Thank you to the family for entrusting me with this special, heartfelt tribute.
Last year, some of our most popular Valentine's purchases weren't between couples; many were from parents to their children; between best friends or simply sent to someone who needed reminding they're loved.
Love really does take many forms and if you're looking for a way to tell someone you care we have several little gifts to help you out.

I shared some photos on Facebook last week and had a fab reaction to the idea of sharing a few florist tips and tricks.
So here is my first installment...
(I apologise in advance for my blatant inability to use TikTok well) 😂
How to revive a wilted hydrangea:
No flowers like to be out of water, but hydrangeas can be especially temperamental (hydro = water and they like lots of it!).
My biggest top tip to avoid drooping in the first place would be to get the flowers in water ASAP and ALWAYS cut the ends of the stems before doing so!
If they droop, the best trick to try is floating face down in a sink or bucket of water. Ideally make sure the end of the stem is also in water but it's not the end of the world if not, as hydrangea are one of the only flowers which actually absorb water through the petals as well as the stem.
Leave the hydrangea floating for 30-60minutes. Take out, cut the end of the stem and place in a vase.
If this doesn't work I have a second trick to use on flowers like hydrangea... (Coming soon!)
If you have any tips, tricks or questions you'd like to know for future posts, let me know in the comments!
We love supporting all things local so naturally this is what happens when Dursley Welcomes Walkers puts on its annual walking festival, Tyndale Arts Week is approaching and Painting Gloucestershire Pink is encouraging all traders to turn their windows pink for breast cancer awareness! #lovelocal
Kingscote Barn was made for days like today!
What an absolute dream for the wonderful Jodie and Craig who are now husband and wife, wedded amongst these beautiful surroundings. It was a pleasure creating the flowers for your outside ceremony including pew ends, stacked crates and linhay arch.
Many, many congratulations and the weeks of crossed fingers for good weather certainly paid off!
