✨Team Crafty ✨

This coolest of cats is Thena.

She’s been with us since day 1 - way back when we had a single coffee van in 2019. But we’ve known her since we were kids growing up in the same town.

She’s one of our senior Crafties, and ensures things are running smooth like microfoam flat whites…

She is soon to be a qualified Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, having balanced Crafty life and an MSc over the last few years. Her thoughtful insight, care and attention are invaluable.

So here’s a few of our gorgeous trucks, rendered in sketch form by the genius that is our one and only Mother! We have our new catering vans alongside our O.G. coffee caravans.

Now, aware we’re biased BUT as well as her being a top tier producer and creative, a hugely talented designer, and a significant reason behind why we love food so much, she only went and drew this with her finger?!

To those who don’t know yet…we’ve been bringing the same renegade crafty spirit to main unit catering and are very excited about what’s been brewing recently.

Along with our Head Chef, Matthew (who we kidnapped two years ago from Corrigan’s and Caravan…) we’ve a menu of extraordinary dishes we believe hard working crews really deserve to find on set.

Crafty Boys catering is a fresh alternative with a commitment to the environment at its core: a dynamic, low waste, flexible model for all crew sizes.

We’re doing things a little differently, with a big impact.

Lunch IS our favourite meal!!!..

Have you seen Wes Anderson’s ‘The Swan’, on yet?

Well, last year we had the pleasure of providing the food and craft on this beautiful film. Our Mum sent us this Jay Rayner article the other day- riffing on all things rotten in the state of crew dining- and it reminded us of those fresh 5ams in the south of England trying to do something a little different…

We were tasked with creating a bespoke menu for the shoot- something hand held, light and fresh. We’re currently doing the same thing on another production- offering a select menu alongside our infamous craft services. The third tile is a brief view at what we offered- alongside hearty homemade soups and fresh rolls, home baked treats and nutritious salads.

Special thanks to for bringing us in!

Despite what Jay suggests, food on set definitely doesn’t need to be dull! We don’t think so, anyway.

Some, but by no means all, of TEAM CRAFTY pictured a couple of months ago (not covered in milk/ crepe mix/ combination of both).

We went quickly from Brothers lugging a generator around a train station to various degrees of success, to over 30 brilliant team members.

The past couple years coming out of covid have been bananas and this team are the best in the business. We’re enormously lucky to have them.

Instagram lends itself to absurd superlatives but we think it’s fair.

We’ve seen thousand coffee days, infinite crepes, tacos for entire Tuesdays, and they’ve met it with just the best humour and wit in the face of it all. Our crew are the heart of who we are.

We’re terrible at promoting ourselves but it’s very, very easy to talk about this gang here.

*significantly missing among others is Papa Dave Hamblett who has converted 6 Crafty vehicles in the last year or so alone!

Crafty Boys is a leading Craft Services company working on some of the UK's biggest and most exciting film shoots.

We're a family owned, fast-growing, dynamic organisation looking for vibrant, super-motivated individuals to join our team on a number of our projects.

We'd love to find people who have a real curiosity about the world and the work, and who are up for expressing their personality, passion and creativity; our coffee is the best in the business but we firmly believe our crew are the greatest thing about us.

You'll be joining a mixture of full and part time staff, some who have been with us for our whole journey and are now running teams, some who are studying for their masters, some musicians, some artists... we're an eclectic bunch. We'd love you to engage with what we do and make an impactful addition with the work you'll perform and the ideas you'll bring.

Pay starts at 13 pounds an hour, moving to 15 should you be up for the extra responsibility of helping to run a team, plus paid travel and overtime at 25 per hour. Driving is incredibly useful but don't let that rule you out!

3 days a week minimum.

Key start dates:

8th November 2021 (On set Leavesden Film Studios, Watford on major Warner Bros TV project)

January 2022 (several positions open) with upcoming projects lasting at least 5 months in and around London.

We cater for the industry’s leading TV and Film companies, priding ourselves in going the extra towed-mile to power a crew through a long shoot.
Essential skills: full driving license, barista/coffee training, cooking skills and a friendly, upbeat attitude!
Hourly pay: between £13- £15 (role dependant)
