The Story.... So far!

It appears that I'm quite unusual. I’ve never really ‘worked’ in a ‘job’ in my life. Sure I've had jobs.... many jobs... but I've never really regarded them as anything more, or less than extensions of my day to day life. I absolutely LOVE what I do. Alongside being a Wedding Host, I am the resident DJ for Christmas and events at Rivington Hall Barn near Bolton.

In terms of Wedding Hosting, and Wedding DJing, I learnt from the very best. For the past 4 years I have worked for the incredible team at DFC (formerly Dancefloor Couture). They remain one of the UK’s foremost suppliers of Wedding Entertainment. I had the role of managing their DJ team, and performing at over 150 events per year.

Some of the roles that helped me prepare for my career as a host: I’ve been a BEDA award winning Nightclub DJ and Entertainments Manager, a General Manager, a Therapist, a Radio and Roadshow Presenter, a Brand Manager, a Record Company Label Manager, a Director of a Nightclub Sound and Lighting Consultancy, a National Account Manager, an Executive Producer... I've lived and worked in other countries and I've achieved far more than I ever anticipated. My Dundee DJ team and I even had a number one record in Brazil in 1996!!

It’s given me a unique perspective on the wedding industry. I now know that the best contribution I can make to YOUR day is to ONLY perform at one wedding in a week. I also know that although I am a highly accomplished DJ, I am a far better Wedding Host/DJ. The rapport I build with your guests turns your wedding from a good wedding into an outstanding wedding. But I also know I'm not the right choice for EVERY wedding... I may know someone else who can do a more congruent job. I regard recommending the right people, even to my detriment as part of the service I offer.
