We had the pleasure of supporting Branston Parish Council at the beginning of the month with their D-Day 80th Anniversary to mark an important moment in our history.

We are just catching our breath after a very busy few weeks of events!

A recent highlight for us was providing pyrotechnics, starcloth, lighting, pipe and drape & a circular projection screen for the annual Activities and Sports Award Shows at Sheffield Students' Union. We were once again privileged to work with Technical Services Committee Sheffield Students Union - TSC and Sheffield SU Nights Out & Events to bring these events to life.

We are excited to announce that we have been working behind the scenes to rebrand Illuminate Sound and Lighting as Mercia Events & Production Ltd. As our business continues to grow and develop alongside our sister company Mercia Wood Fired Pizzas, we decided that now would be a good time to streamline the brands. We want to thank Stacey at 6pence Print & Design for her help and support with this.

We will still continue to deliver the fantastic services and develop our business as before under our old name but, with a new name and brand going forward.

We have also been working on another exciting project over the past few months to allow us to sustain our business into the future. We still have a few final pieces of the puzzle to finish putting together but we cannot wait to announce this and share with you. As soon as the puzzle is complete you will all be the first to know.

For the meantime, sit tight. We have a really exciting season coming, up with some exciting new events and projects that we will be working on along the way. Stay tuned for more on this!

Over the weekend we've had the pleasure of working with Sheffield Students' Union - supplying lighting equipment, rigging & special effects for the 51st annual International Cultural Evening (ICE) at the The University of Sheffield Octagon Centre.

A fantastic evening yesterday at Mickleover Country Park Social Club for a big night of celebrations. Celebrating an 18th, 21st & 50th birthday alongside a 25th wedding anniversary! 🥳

We provided a full production package including DJ, disco, PA, lighting, TV screen for a photo reel and light up numbers. Here are some of our favourite snaps from the party.

Wow! Wow! Wow! We are just catching our breath after a fantastic run working on Heritage Wood's Illuminated Woodland Walk. Our team have worked tirelessly to design, plan, install and de-rig this fantastic event.

It is safe to say we are more than pleased with the result! This fantastic event transforms Heritage Wood into a completely different space at night.

The event sold out this year - if you missed out keep your eyes peeled for tickets for next year's event. Next year will be the 5th year of the Illuminated Woodland Walk. In the New Year we will begin preparations for the event which we plan to be another fantastic display of light.

Returning for its fourth year, this enchanting journey through Heritage Wood is our way of celebrating the end of the year.

We continue to book out our diary for the summer with lots of events planned.

On Sunday we provided PA, microphones and power for .

We worked alongside our sister company at Stretton Gala. Mercia Pizzas delivered fantastic pizzas throughout the day. The weather was fantastic - a great day all round. If you missed it keep your eyes out for next year's event.

💡 Heritage Wood - ILLUMINATED WOODLAND WALK 2022 💡
Friday 25th November 2022 - Sunday 27th November 2022 📅
Friday 2nd December 2022 - Sunday 4th December 2022 📅

Back for its third year, the Illuminated Woodland Walk is the end of the year celebration of Heritage Wood.

This is our second year of designing and installing the lights that will guide you along the evening walk through the woodland which will take approximately 40 minutes.

During the walk you will be treated to vibrant light displays and colourful illuminated trees that will light up dark November and December evenings.

This year we are excited to announce that the Illuminated Woodland Walk will be concluded by an exciting moving light show, programmed in time with music. This will take place at the lake which is one of the centrepieces of Heritage Wood.

After you have walked around the wood, you will enter the Heritage Wood Market where we will be joined by our sister company Mercia Wood Fired Pizzas who will be attending the two weekends
that the Illuminated Woodland Walk will be taking place. You can enjoy a fresh, hand-stretched pizza after walking around the illuminated walk.

Mercia Wood Fired Pizzas will also be joined by our friends Delicious Co, Outback Hog Roasts and Bar Chic with Black Talbot, who will be serving a variety of hot drinks and food you can
buy. The Heritage Wood Market will also include a variety of stalls selling seasonal gifts, arts and crafts.

The Illuminated Woodland Walk is perfect for all of the family. Lift your spirits this season and join us at Heritage Wood, near Ashbourne.

Merry Christmas everyone!! 🎄

This year has been particularly difficult for the events industry and we are so lucky to continue operating during these difficult times. This year we had the pleasure of working on Heritage Wood's Winter Woodland Walk.

We have just completed taking out the installation and have thoroughly enjoyed working on the event. The event is a great way to meet up with the family in an outdoor setting. Here are some photos of the install.

This Christmas season we have had the privilege of working with Heritage Wood to deliver their Winter Woodland Walk.

We have installed a range of lighting fixtures to create an atmospheric journey through the picturesque woodland. Establishing great relationships with local businesses is at the core of everything we do. Helping to create such a beautiful walk for the whole family at this time of year underpinned by the current circumstances has been an honour.

We don't want to give too much away but here is a sneak preview of some of the installation.

With the announcement from the government yesterday we are cautiously optimistic for the full reopening of the events and hospitality sector on 21st June.
