It is our aim to re-format our archive and bring our films to new audiences around the world. Sheffield born Paul Donoghue has been producing "Special Interest" documentary films for decades. As a cameraman and producer Paul has always sought diverse and interesting subjects to film. From the back streets of Bolton with famous steeplejack Fred Dibnah, to the exciting world of the gypsies at Appleb
y Fair. In this business, one job often leads into another, and whilst interviewing a man who owns a beautiful steam traction engine, Paul is invited to a rat hunt ! There he meets a bare knuckle fighter who invites him to Ballinasloe in Ireland to see his horses at the biggest horse fair in the world, followed by a call asking him to film the largest Steam Fair in the world. It goes on and on says Paul, who has the privilege of meeting many fantastic characters along the way. During those years he has built up a huge archive. He has numerous video master tapes of his own films, and those taken by others before he was born. He also has very old cine films and thousands of photographs of great historic interest. As the use of the internet grows, and the public’s method of watching media changes, Paul has chosen to share his complete historic archive of Films, Photographs, Books and Audio Recordings, and make them available to enthusiasts who are interested in “the unusual” or in preservation and history of all things which are slowly disappearing. Paul has an ambition to leave a record of these events photos and films for all to see, so that future generations can enjoy and share his keen interest in Great Britain’s Heritage, and his passion in the preservation of all the many events he has personally witnessed.
