This time 10 years ago I was finding out my make-up artist (who also happened to be singing while we signed the register and our first dance!) wasn't coming 😳

Luckily I had the best bridesmaids who swung into action, plus my venue was amazing and found a lovely barman to sing for us (a song he didn't know that he learned while collecting his guitar!).

So remember, something is likely to go wrong on your wedding day, but a good plan and the right people around you will sort it out!

Happy 10 years to us ❤ we're off to celebrate at Bannatyne Hotel!

From bunches to arrangements! We did a couple of vases to cheer up our elderly neighbour who's a bit poorly. Not quite up to Vintage Essence or Lisette Walters standards but a good effort! (The fish vase was leftovers for us!)

Quiet this time of year so we took ourselves off to Scotland to Crieff Hydro for a cheeky weekend to start our 10th Anniversary celebrations! Great food, excellent service, so much to do all with spectacular views. Oh, and they make their own gin! And the sun came out! Here's a few pics, including the Kelpies on the way home.

We recently had a customer with an emergency. The cake maker for her daughter’s wedding 💒 pulled out last minute so she had to step in and make the cake herself. 😨🎂 It was to be a rice crispy cake and had to meet lots of dietary requirements. She bought several bars of our toffee, and we gladly threw in a tub of offcuts and advice, and et voila, a gorgeous cake was made, saved the day and was enjoyed by all. ❤️ Pic shared with permission. 🤗

Did you know 🤔 the Irish custom, which states that women can propose to men on a leap year dates back to the 5th century, when Saint Brigid of Kildare, who thought that women had to wait too long for a proposal, agreed with Saint Patrick that women could propose!

Checking out this place for the first time - fabulous! Loads of trees to choose from, friendly staff, lovely little shop and a coffee van to keep you warm! Watch this space for tree pics when we put it up tomorrow! Oh and it's all snowy, feeling very festive now 🎄🎅🎁

A festive weekend making this lovely Chistmassy pot at (thanks Zoe and Nicola, brilliant fun!) with a yummy afternoon tea (this would be an excellent hen party idea if you dont want the usual raucousness!)
Then Saturday it was motorcycle Santa day raising money for , a dog wearing a santa and a rest with a pint!

Always. ALWAYS do you on your wedding day. Our cake reflected us, much as this does for this couple. Don't want white? No problem. Don't want flowers? That's ok. Want white and flowers? Your wedding, your way.

Well done on this awesome creation Cabbage Patch Bakery (if you don't know them, there's hidden veggies in there to balance sugar, good all round!)

Last night we popped to Whinstone View for their Halloween pop up shop.

I like to go to craft fairs as I tend to spot unusual ideas for weddings and meet new suppliers (oh, and pick up unique gifts along the way!). Here's who I met...

Lovely Lauren from DipnGraze Middlesbrough with the fabulous Graze Cups. These look amazing and are a great idea for your drinks reception nibbles if you want something a little more than just canapes.

Next was Joleigh from The Orch-Shed with this beautiful personal family tree board. We think it would be fabulous to stand your cake on then kept as a lovely memory. Joleigh can personalise anything woody for you and bring your ideas to life. Great for wedding gifts too!

And finally The Velveteen Rabbit Luncheon club displaying lots of yumminess. A little chat and we learned they do outside catering, great for your evening nibbles. They cater for everyone - meat lovers, vegan and everything in between! Check out the Lime and Zucchini (huge) muffins - hidden veg, always good!

Remember, wedding suppliers come in all forms so think outside the box when you're doing your planning and find something really special ♥️
