As we approach the new year I decided to have a look back at projects I worked on during 2022 as well as some favourites from previous years.

For the last few years I’ve known of the ruins of this small cottage that lies at the foot of Slieve Binnian, and I’ve always wanted to try to to capture it in a different way to how I’ve seen it photographed before.
After discovering a technique known as ‘light painting’, (where a drone is used to light a subject from above, creating a halo-effect), I thought that this could be a more creative way to photograph what remains of this stone structure.
Last night, with little wind and low cloud cover, I finally decided to give it a try and I’m fairly pleased with how it turned out for a first attempt at light painting.
I plan to capture more structures/objects like this in the future, hopefully improving the results in the process.

Sunshine, bikes and dusty trails. What more could you want for the 2022 Irish Enduro National Champs?

Watch the highlights from last weekend’s racing in Ravensdale. One of the best mountain bike venues in the country provided some quality trails and racing.
