Thursday's Child is a musical drama set sometime soon, in a country very much like our own. It follows a group of children on a journey through a land at war with itself, where they encounter the worst aspects of life for a child. The show is vibrant, dramatic, sometimes funny, still tragically relevant, and always hopeful. Thursday's Child was commissioned in 1999 by UNICEF (The United Nation's Children's Fund) and has since been widely performed throughout the world. This production marks the 25th anniversary of the London premiere of the show.
